First and foremost, I thank God for putting words in my head and giving me ideas for my poems. Many times late at night when I could not sleep, God was filling my mind with lines that later became the poems in this book. I give God full credit. I could not have written this book without the leading of the Holy Spirit and God nudging me to keep writing. Thank you God.
I wish to thank my, husband, Dewey Burkhart, who has been patient and kind while spending hours alone while I sat at the computer writing this book. Dewey and I have been married 56 years and those years have been wonderful years. He was supportive in helping raise our son and two daughters. We also have 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren who love their Papaw. Dewey encouraged and helped me when I decided to go to college at age 29 when we had 3 small children. Some of the time I spent on campuses several miles from home. Dewey kept the home fires burning and worked until I could come home on the weekends. He is a fine Christian man who has many friends. I thank him for all the times he has loved and provided for my children and me.
I wish to thank my children who have encouraged me to follow my dream and complete this book. They have read my poems and told me they thought they were good enough to publish. Without their encouragement, I might not have attained this goal.
I want to thank and acknowledge my many friends who have said I should publish a book. They kept encouraging and some have prayed that the Lord would make a way for my book to come to fruition. For that
