About this ebook

Experiencing the glory of God gives the believer an amazing fulfillment in knowing Christ such that he or she desires more of this pure glory. However, this requires an intimate relationship with the Lord.

Consequently, by yielding more to the Holy Spirit, the glory of God is revealed in the life of that believer through the purpose of God for his or her life. For this reason, the Lord guides the steps of that believer into a higher glory by prompting a transition in the believer's walk with the Lord.

Transitions are not always comfortable but necessary. This is where the Lord trains the believer depending on the purpose of God for that believer.

    Introduction

There is no place like the incredible supernatural presence of God, where we are drenched in his pure glory. Christians talk about the glory of God being revealed in their lives every day. But do we really know what the glory of God is? This glory is the goodness of God. If the Lord has been good to you, that is his glory being revealed in your life. The glory (goodness) of God can be seen in our well-being as we enjoy healthy lives. Having a strong body brings glory to God. Being sick in your body does not bring glory to God.

In 3 John 2:2, it says, "Beloved, I wish above all thing that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers."

When your soul is prospering in the things of God, your body also prospers. You will prosper in every area of your life be it finance, marriage, education, business, ministry, etc.

The glory of God is also the unique anointing that God clothes his children with. This is characterized by the prospering soul mentioned earlier. It is that glory God puts on us as we are being changed into the very image of God when we behold him in his Word. This glory is also manifestation of the excellence of God in our lives. Simply put, the glory of God is the manifold presence of the Lord that lives in or covers a believer or fills a place in a very strong way whenever the children of God come together in worship as recorded in 1 Kings 8:10–11 (NKJV):

And it came to pass, when the priest came from the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the Lord, so that the priest could not continue ministering because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord.

The glory of God is also the goodness of God in the lives of his children. This glory is the blessing of God. This blessing is not the material things God supplies us with but rather the presence of the Lord, which his children carry in them. Hence, the presence of the Lord is the real pure glory. There is such an awesome feeling that cannot be explained upon experiencing the glory of the Lord. This glory of God is Jesus Christ himself being revealed to us by the Holy Spirit through the Word of God because we are in the dispensation of the Holy Spirit.

Now the Lord is that spirit: and… (2 Corinthians 3:17).

The spirit refers to the spirit of Jesus who is in the person of the Holy Spirit. Henceforth, wherever the spirit is, Jesus is present. It is, therefore, the responsibility of the Holy Spirit to manifest the glory and the power of God.

Therefore, it is important believers have fellowship with the Holy Spirit daily. The Lord Jesus taught his disciples to pray, Give us our daily bread. The Word of God is that bread. Just as we feed our bodies with natural food, our spirits need to be fed with spiritual food, which is the Word of God. The glory of God shows up in a believer’s life when he or she believes in the Word of God (John 11:40). This comes about when you fellowship with the Lord as you know the Lord intimately.

Almost every child of God desire for this glory. Hence, we want to be used by God in a great way, and this requires us to keep ourselves pure. Keeping ourselves pure means living the righteous life of Christ that is full of love, peace, joy, and faith in God alone. It is also keeping yourself from youthful lust and every unclean thing that would hinder you from fulfilling the will of God for your life (2 Timothy 2:22 NLT). You cannot be like every other person. Neither can you do anything people are doing. You have been called and set apart for good works.

In 2 Timothy 2:21 (NLT) it says, "If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready, for the Master to use you for every good work." So the question to ask ourselves is: What kind of utensil am I? Am I fit for honorable use?"

The verse 20 of 2 Timothy 2 (NLT) says, "But, in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and of earth: and some to honor and some to dishonor." This allows us to evaluate ourselves to see where everyone of us fit. If you are not pleased with where you fit in, then ask God the Father to transform your life. Every one of God’s children desires to be like Jesus. He is our benchmark, the one we all look up to.

In 2 Corinthians 3:18 (AMP) it reads, And we all with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, we are progressively being transformed into His image from one degree of glory to even more glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

The glory of God will cost you something. Sometimes more than you would imagine, although it will be worth it at the end. It will cost you your time, some pleasures, friendships, some habits, relationships, etc. Your ways of doing things will change, and people might not understand you. Do not worry, you do not owe them any explanations. You must make up your mind and be determined to yield to the Holy Spirit. If you really desire for God to go to the next level in your walk with the Lord, then you must give up yourself to be trained by the Lord. As it always been said, if you want a better result, we need to do something differently. The cost, however, is the training God will give you or process he would take you through. The call on your life determines the kind of training the Lord will give you. No one decides the call on your life but the Lord himself. Therefore, he determines the training. Due
