Foreword

I have known Katrina for over eighteen years and have witnessed her struggles, so it did not surprise me when she told me that she was going to write a book. With Katrina having gone through many ups and downs, suffering, heartache, and loss, her story is nothing short of a miracle. Each stage of her life has played a critical role in defining who she is. Where she is today in her life is a far cry from where some thought she might have been. In this book, she shares the intimate details of betrayal, misery, humiliation, depression, and love, as well as how one act of rebellion created a whirlwind of toxic events that challenged her heart, her mind, and her patience. The events that unfold will serve as lessons and warnings to some, and for others, the entire truth will be revealed. Just as God sees and knows the heart of all, and truth always authenticates itself, it was God's truth and God's love that reached out to Katrina.

One day, I invited Katrina to listen in on a prayer line of which I had gone on. I invited her because, at that point in her life, she was dealing with so much, to the point that she started hearing voices in her head, and she literally thought that she was going crazy. I knew that she was not going crazy, but her situation made her feel otherwise. I felt like the prayer line could help her, but because she was skeptical of the prophetic, she flat out refused my invitation to get on the line. The nerve of her! Eventually, she changed her mind and came on a call, and as she listened, she realized that she really needed to be on that prayer line, but she had absolutely no idea that this call would turn out to be the start of a change for her life. Though pushed beyond her limits and her reputation was tarnished, God would soon step in with a plan. It is during these times that Katrina would find solace in God.

As you follow Katrina through her journey of hope and redemption, walk with her as she steps into her destiny and purpose. Despite adversity and any setbacks that you may face, The Wait will inspire you to push through the difficult moments, create an intimate relationship with Christ, and help you to reclaim your self-worth. I just want to thank Trina for allowing God to move so greatly in her life, but of course, I give God all the glory because He has used her to be an inspiration for women and single parents struggling to pull through on this journey to Christ. Due to the constant manifestations of her prophecies that have come to life, I, as well as many others who fellowship with New Dimensions Christian Outreach Ministry, am able to see that Jesus is Lord, God is the Father, and the Holy Spirit is indeed real.
