About this ebook

This is a story of how God took the lives of two people and turned it into one love affair that was so real it had to be written in the stone by the Almighty himself. Just imagine knowing someone for years and, at the same time, never laid eyes on each other until God was ready—from a boy to a man and from a girl to a woman.

God’s desire is for us to make the right choices to line up with his word. Understand that He loves us, He wants the best for us, He wants us to be happy, and He wants us to be complete. God has a plan for every one of us, and He’s the one who worked this out for us, not man or woman. So wait on the Lord and be of good courage. It is about His divine plan for our lives. It is simply fabulous!

As you read this true-life story, you’ll see how God prepared two people’s heart, mind, and soul together. We both went through some things before God using this special-gifted woman as His vessel Mrs. Ann B to deliver His word. God then said, “It is time now,” which took thirty years before He released the blinders so it can touch the lives of so many with this true and amazing story to help focus the unfocused.

Written in the Stone - Shelia Curry Smith

    Chapter 1

    School Days

It all began at Andrew Jackson High School between classes and in the hallways as we passed each other. Sherell was always holding Jay; she would hold his arm so tight until he gave her that look one day and said, Girl, it’s not that serious!

Her actions spoke for her. I mean, that chick had a serious attitude. Oh yeah, why did she start screaming from the top of her lungs one day, This is my man! Hahaha! Boy, her facial expression was saying, If one of you sleazeballs even attempt to look at my man, I will ring your neck each and every one of you! Do you feel me? And once again, Jay gave Sherell that look like, Girl, please!

That neck come on you for real?

You’re actually sounding like a fool right about now. Go head on big bad wolf, he said, as they walked down the hallway.

In the meantime, some girl shouted out, Jay, I love you. I really do!

Sherell was pissed to the third degree; her eyes were red, and her facial expression boiling as if she wanted to ask, Who said that? Which one of you?

We were rolling on the floor, laughing.

She then said to Jay, So are you just gonna to stand there and let them make fun of me? And she shouted, Hater! I got something for all y’all. Don’t act like a clown and get a beat down! Try it! The expression on her face. Then she said, You chicks can’t have my man. This one is mines.

Did she say her man? Jay had that whatever look on his face. Oh boy, here goes Jay!

You can’t beat up everybody, girl. Come on. Let it go. They’re not thinking about you.

Her looks could kill, that said it all. Her nose was up in the air like it belonged there, but little did she know, she reminded me of Pinocchio with all those lies.

The look on that nut Sherell’s face. If only looks could kill, we would all be dead. If that girl saw the way her man gave Shelia the eye, she would really be a mad woman. I have to admit, this guy Jay is what I’m talking about; just keepin’ it one hundred. You feel me?

My sister Vanessa made a comment, ‘‘That chick tripping, holding on to that boy like he gonna run away."

If sis only knew I had feelings for him. Maybe it was a good thing he didn’t have any idea that I had a big crush on him. Yes, he took a quick, fast look as we passed each other, hoping Sherell wouldn’t see him peeping my way. Man, all
