Born for Restoration

About this ebook
Born for Restoration is about my life. "Before I formed you in the belly, I knew you, and before you came out of the womb I set you apart" (Jeremiah 1:5, ISR). Psalm 23 is a song sung about a life starting and experiencing the tests of discovering our purpose and who is with us as we go through the birth canal until eternity. 1. I am convinced that even before I was in my mother's womb the Lord was my Shepherd; with Him I never experienced lack. 2. He instructed me in the comfort of the womb to lie down in green pastures as He spoke to me throughout my journey. I was guided beside still waters parting the way into this world. The river of life spoke through the Lord as a Spirit of comfort and calm embraced me. 3. Leaving the comfort of mercy (Heb: Rachem=womb) when I entered the world and made wrong choices the Lord turns back my being; He leads me on the cycles of righteousness. This was the beginning of my restoration birth. I was told this journey is not just about you, but you are a voice telling people who I am. I learned His name, and this was one of the most important aspects of this message. 4. As I ran my race then walked through the valley of the shadow of death, I did not fear because He told me I did not give you a spirit of fear. I gave you a spirit of love and power through my Spirit and a steadfast mind toward Me. I Am with you. The Lord disciplined me when I needed it, and that was a comfort because He was all about preserving my life as any good Father desires. 5. I recognized the tables as the tablets He set before me in the presence of my enemies. These commandments were needed, so I looked at them and not the faces of my enemies. As time continues, this journey with the Lord of Restoration sets me apart by anointing my mind and my life overflowing with a desire to listen and obey His Word and influence others to consider this journey of restoration. 6. As a result of repentance, only goodness and loving commitment follows me. And now I know my journey is to dwell in the house of the Lord to the length of days!

Dedication
To my husband James, who stood by me as I climbed many of the mountains of restoration. His encouraging support in always praying and being at my side through much of this amazing journey. James always showed patience and love as I was determined to take the necessary steps in the journey. His life and faithfulness in our marriage exemplified the work of The Most High as we together reached many peaks and experienced the valleys as well; but never stopped the journey moving toward the High Calling of our Father Who is in Heaven. We were determined to bring His Presence here on earth as we walked toward the Light and after the Spirit. James, thank you for being my husband indeed. Love is action and I dedicate this book to you because the love you gave me is the reason it was completed for such a time as this.

Acknowledgements
HalleluYah! So many encouraged me to write my story. I would share bits and pieces of my life with people and inevitably I would hear these words I know you are writing a book.
Yes, those words pushed me to this moment in time. I am so thankful for all your encouraging and stirring words that brought this true story in print for all to partake one way or another. My son Bryan has always encouraged me to this testimony of not giving up even when things happened that only God Himself could have healed and delivered from darkness. Thank you, Bryan. Mona Johnian always encouraged me by her example of writing and teaching as well as being interested in my desire to find my father. Mona’s love helped me during a very challenging and most pivotal direction in my life and our relationship was indeed an intervention of Holy Spirit to strengthen my faith and trust in His Word. Raji Martyn a dear friend would always encourage me to write and she eagerly awaited this finished product. Dr. Hollisa Alewine, Dr. Dinah Dye, Kisha Gallagher and Hannah Kallio encouraged me to continue writing this message. Thank you to Mark and Adina Smith, owners of Messianic Lamb Radio Network, for allowing me to express my teachings and encouragements on many broadcasts which fanned the flame of Yah in my heart. David and Valerie Moody gave me significant advice in pursuing this work that had been stirring in my heart for many years.
Thank you all for your encouragement and advice. I respect and appreciate your lives and our meeting and your most inspiring words that stirred my heart along with The Creator of Heaven and earth to bring this message of Born for Restoration.
Here I Am
The story you’re about to read is a true story. It’s both personal and universal. As you read about my life, you’ll notice parallels with your own journey. Like me, you’ve climbed many mountains to get where you are today. Mountain climbing is exhilarating, exhausting, and ultimately rewarding when you see the view from the top.
I first became aware of my need to search and climb at age five. I remember sitting on our front porch, gazing down the street, missing my dad, and hoping to find him one day. I dreamt of the day we would all be together again.
The years would go by, and I would hear the sound of his voice again. He would call me, and I would answer, Here I am.
* * * * *
My father was raised an Orthodox Jew, and my mother was raised a Christian. They fell in love when they first laid eyes on each other. Dad was about to head off to medical school. He was a young man who had shown great promise, pursuing his dream and the dream his parents had for him.
Mom caught his eye while they were riding the train headed for Boston. Instantly he knew this was the woman he was going to marry. The young men with him encouraged him to pursue her, and he was up for the challenge. After they first embraced on the dance floor, they couldn’t take their eyes off each other. Their lives were never the same after that moment.
God’s plan was in motion, leaving both families shocked and dismayed. This wasn’t the life either set of parents envisioned for their child, and everyone was in for change.
Have you ever had someone or something rock the boat just when you thought there would be smooth sailing? The wind changes, and you have to adjust to stay afloat.
This definitely happened in the lives of both families. Even though I wasn’t born yet, these choices shaped my life.
I hold fast to this scripture:
The word of the LORD came to me, saying, Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.
(Jeremiah 1:4–5, TLV)
When my parents announced their engagement, it wasn’t well received by either family. Love had blinded them to the differences in their spiritual upbringing. Or were there differences? There were opinions and lifestyle choices, but those could have been ironed out through compromise on both sides.
Both families had survived national wars that separated them from family members. My dad’s family had escaped the pogroms. They were very
