    ABOUT THE AUTHOR

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither any more pain: for the former things are passed away."

And He That sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

…Write: for these words are true and faithful"

And He said unto me, "It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be His God, and he shall be My son…"

    Revelation 21:1–7

And I saw no Temple therein; for the LORD God Almighty and the Lamb are the Temple of it.

    Revelation 21:22

    Preface

What of the End Times can be said?

Pastor, take me by my hand

That I may be surely led—

What? The Lord Jesus comes before?

    No, perhaps at any moment…

Or behold! He is at the door!

So much noise it is I hear.

I ask, What are we to believe?

Not knowing is what we fear.

But—where can the truth be found?

    The beliefs fluctuate—toss and turn—

Yet—the love of the truth—made not a sound.

In the quiet, I heard the silence ring—

It's in the Great Word of GOD!

—And the angels began to sing—

Come with your love, all of you!

Let all the noise be quieted…

—Speak, Lord Jesus; tell us what is true—

That little poem says what I would like to communicate. When scholars of the Word of God can have the noise of so many versions of the end times; there is a problem.

Then, if the people stand about with so many beliefs and doubts to toss and turn; there is a problem. That's because they know there is only one God, that's our Father God which includes our Lord Jesus and Holy Spirit. Therefore, surely there is just one truth as well to the return of our Lord. And yes! It has been written very simply in His Word. Verses and chapters need to match to make a truth. Sometimes the teachings of tradition and our beliefs should be set aside to see what is really written.

What are traditions of deception and the consequences to follow? Traditions alone are held above and beyond what may be true making those with deceit even more dangerous possibly causing us to stumble or be misled as it lies there hiding in the truth. If the deception in our traditions goes undetected, it can be of a greater challenge within the confines of the nature of the heart and its belief system leaving us vulnerable in an unsuspected time because the result is confusion and bad decisions. How can such a bondage be broken? First come to realize there is such a deception. Just as Satan tried to temp Jesus using twisted scripture after the forty days and nights fasting in the desert and Adam and Eve also suffered the deception in the garden, so are we all targeted. As did Christ, our Lord, set in your heart a standard to hold the love of the truth by the sole power of the Word of God as the higher priority.

Know the root of most deception set within the traditions of men is seed from the enemy designed to be hidden within the truth. We don't need more of what men teach of the Word—but rather—let the Word speak! All those versions of traditions with the beliefs and doubts tells us we should do that study for ourselves. It takes time and tools such as a King James version of the Holy Bible and a Strong's Concordance having the Greek and Hebrew dictionary—this at the very least. Be careful though, or the search will only confirm what men teach. This is where the love of the truth comes in which contributes to having eyes to see and ears to hear and your desire to rightly divide the scriptures. It's true that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word out of the mouth of God. [Matthew 4:4 quoted from Deuteronomy 8:3] The scriptures are better taught verse by verse, chapter by chapter. It does take a lot of time, though well spent, to do that kind of search.

I had the love of the truth, my life time, and a burden in my heart—with a lot of help as well such as from Shepherd's Chapel. They teach the whole Bible, line by line, precept on precept many times over. Pastor Arnold Murray, survived by his son in the ministry, Pastor Dennis Murray, spent 60 years, verse by verse, expounding the scriptures with use of the manuscripts. I invite you to do this study with me to make this your study as well that you see for yourself. Zoom in to a closer look to what is written according to the scriptures rather than the many versions we hear out there.

So, get your love of the truth and let's get back into the Word of God!

Prayer: Father God, help us discern the traditions of men verses the truth of Your Word, in Jesus's name we pray, Amen; and all say Amen.

    Chapter One

    Getting Back Into God's Word

Alone at home, I missed my dear Father in heaven. I thought he was so disappointed in me—because I certainly was. Though I was trying to deal with the hold the world had on me, I was not feeling worthy to ask for forgiveness anymore. I loved God. He was my Father! As a child, Jesus was my whole world! Since I could not bear His disappointment in me, it was I, that had hidden my face from Him. This was certainly not the first time I had felt sick of my life that I could die! My heart stirred, as though He said to me, Hear I am. At that, I turned to Him having hope once again, asking Him back into my heart. He healed my brokenness, because in that hope, was a new commitment to start my life anew! Later I realized He had never left me; that He had waited for me to come back. I've learned to just repent, accept His forgiveness, and know He is surely able. I've learned that when He took the sins of the world upon himself on the cross; that He is faithful to forgive and by His stripes we are healed—His love for us is set in His grace from His heart!

For as the heaven is high above the earth—So great—is His mercy toward them that fear Him. As far as the east is from the west—So far—has He removed our transgressions from us.

    Psalms 103:11–12

In my humility, Luke 6:1–12–49 began to become a reality for me. Within that chapter, what witnessed to me, while I yet felt unworthy to judge or condemn anyone, was to begin with this verse 37: Judge not…condemn not…forgive, and you shall be forgiven. Part of that forgive was to forgive myself!

    Also read Matthew 18:21–35

That was 1977. As time went by, I began to realize more of what it means to be covered by the blood. Being saved was not just some great feeling that comes and goes. I stayed committed—even when my life didn't change overnight, nor did it change by itself. I learned that when I fall short; to repent and go forward! The commitment was needed to confirm to me that I was saved, that He loves me, and hears me—that He will never leave nor forsake me, which gives me the faith to believe and not doubt my salvation nor His love for me. It keeps me going forward!

Besides the love of God, what changed my life the most was time I put in to look upon the living words of the Bible; the more I learned, the more I wanted to know. But there is a down side, you know. For instance, I wanted to be a good wife, so I decided to read up on that, when I ran across—Ephesians 5:22 ‘Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord'.

Well, I cried! What did that mean? Trusting the Lord with my life was a good thing, but my life seemed limited to have to answer to a man! I did not understand that submit was not meant to be beneath, but was to give my husband his place as head of our family! It worked! In spite of all our ups and downs, the better I was to him, the better he was to me. All that we had to overcome, we would not have made it if it had not been for God's help and His healing our broken lives.

My husband listened to me because I listened to him, though in his heart, it mattered to him that the last word was his on what was best for our family. Also, those decisions were the consequences he was willing to endure on our behalf. Then, usually, it was what we both agreed was best because God made a difference in his life, too, that he began including our Father for guidance. A husband is to love his wife, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it…that is to love his wife even as himself; For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones.

The liberty for wives in this is when a woman submits to her husband, he will want to be submitted in return – to be as one with her! Can a man truly submit to a woman who is not submitted to him? (Would it not come about that both could be submitted to a loving heavenly Father?) The submission is simply to love her man; listen to his heart, be thoughtful, forgiving, encouraging in times of struggle, helping to meet the goals as a family, enduring the storms of life together…and then—give him that last word! I found that he wanted my input, so I could and absolutely did put in my two cents and got back so much more in love and blessings! Women can hold the law of kindness in their home (See, it was my advice to turn to God for advice!) The fight for pride creates a fight for 50/50. Instead, together, each gives 100%! That becomes a good foundation for a family unit with Christ as the head!

Then, in the worst of times—during disagreements when tempers flare, hand each other over to the Father and pray that both hearts will be made right. We were married for thirty-nine years before his life ended on this earth. Turns out Ephesians 5:22–33 wasn't a down side after all! A principle as this turns the wheels of other principles that work together to bless us. Every principle we tend is a seed that grows and blossoms in our lives yielding fruit. Thank you, Father, for your principles in the scriptures!

It was in my heart to read His Word. I finally started from the beginning to the end. What a great novel! The New Testament was a reflection of the mysteries of the Old Testament. There were those times I found the Bible hard to understand—including God's ways. I wanted to understand how men had become evil to the point God had to destroy them whereby Noah was to build the ark. Why did He ask Abraham to sacrifice his son of promise he had waited for ‘til he was ninety-nine years old? Also, I did believe Jesus gave His life on the cross, but why did One such as gracious as He have to die in such a way? No doubt, God loves us so much to give such an extravagant gift! The questions are many. It's the answers that are life changing! The quest for truth had made such a difference in my life—I wanted to share it!

Yet, what happens when asking the questions create more questions to which there are no answers that fit? What do we do when there seems to be contradictions and the answers connected to our beliefs don't make sense? The problem many times is that we don't ask enough questions because we are bound by teachings that have given the wrong answers. When we take His good word into our minds, we process that information there and deal with it according to our understanding and beliefs. It can be difficult to set aside those beliefs, yet necessary, because the tendency is to insert those beliefs into our search for God's truth. Just reading over words we don't understand can cause us error as well. I tell you, this is certainly how this journey begins.

That's when asking the questions comes in and then doing the more complete study. It's the calling together many scriptures that will witness what is true. Those errors in our thinking need to be corrected with more knowledge of what is in His word as a whole in order to process it, to rightly divide it. It is best to go to the Lord and ask Him to give us understanding (as that is what any of us wish that our children would come to us rather than search out there somewhere for their information). Another remarkable thing about God's word is that when it is rightly divided, the pieces do fit, and it does make sense!
