About this ebook

This is a book of signs and wonders that is dedicated to all women who lay awake at night crying their hearts out in silence to God. He hears your prayers. God will deliver you. Continue to do good, regardless of the evil spoken over you or the blows you've taken on your body. God will send you a deliverer--you must recognize it and obey it--and trust God for your deliverance. He did it for me; he will do it for you.

    —Hebrews 13:2 (KJV)

Iremember my first encounter with the supernatural realm of God. I had to be nine or ten years old. My father loved trucks. I watched him come down the hill and park his truck in the yard under the tree. He had an elderly visitor with him. I knew everybody in my city and county because it was so small. The elderly gentleman caught my eyes. He was short, very hairy, dirty, and appeared to be confused about his whereabouts, but not crazy. As I approached him, I thought I would pass out from his foul odor. Immediately, my dad started giving orders: run the tub, fix him a plate, get the clippers, and get ready to shave him.

After my dad bathed him and gave him a change of clothes, I rolled up my sleeves and went to work. I cut his hair, shaved him, and cut hairs from his nose and ears. I knew my dad was still gonna make me cut his toenails. I didn’t want to, but I did it anyway.

After we fed him, he left with my dad and rode throughout the country town collecting money for his bus ticket.

Later in the evening, we were taking him to the bus station (twelve miles away). He told us to stop at our local store. He got out. We thought he was confused when he started waving goodbye. Next thing we knew, a Greyhound bus stopped and picked him up and drove off.

My dad and I started back toward our house and, at
