My Story Through Poetry: From Despair to Triumph!

This book summarizes my life and how I went from adversity to despair and how I achieved victory and triumph after a long struggle with Depression. It is a message of hope for those who have been abused and that there is a light at the end of a very dark tunnel. It is through Christ and gaining help from Christian individuals, who greatly impacted my life by sharing their stories of triumph over despair due to abuse in their childhoods. They taught me HOW TO LIVE LIFE in a seemingly hopeless state of mind. I give honour and praise to our wonderful GOD and my LORD JESUS CHRIST, who is also my BEST FRIEND! I hope the reader is encouraged and helped by my sharing my story, interspersed with the poems the Lord gave me in my struggles and, afterwards, poems of victory. JESUS remains my best friend and I hope He will be yours, too!

I live in a small farming community in Southern Ontario, Canada, with my husband and grown son. We have a married daughter, who has given us eight Grand-children. They live in the United States. We are serving the Lord in our local Church. I am the Church Secretary at the time of this writing and I have a desire to share my faith and help bring people into a closer relationship with the Lord. We have four seasons here in Canada and I think my poems will reflect that as I draw from them the splendour of God’s creation and His truths that we can glean from them. Whether spring, summer, winter or fall, there are lessons to learn from them all.

I love writing poems that bring glory to my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. I have been writing poetry for quite some time and have used them many times on the back of the bulletins of my Church. I live in a small town in Canada, where I also serve the Lord as the Church Secretary. I put together one poetry book, entitled Poems of Faith in 2010 and would like to reach out to other areas of ministry.

The poems in this new venture are up-close and personal and talk about my struggles in life. It was a process that took about fifty years before I finally found the answers I needed from people in ministry and especially those who appear on the TCT Network.

I love Jesus Christ for He saved me when I was twelve years old and two days after accepting Christ, I asked Him to heal me from the Kidney Disease that I had been battling for about two years. It was a turning point in my life—God saved me and also healed my body. However, after I went home with my family, I went through a time of adversity and it caused me, as an adult, to suffer from Depression for quite a while. For those who have experienced it, it can seem like a dark, bottomless pit.
