About this ebook
A vacation that turned tragic for a family of four, the Westbrairs. Little did they know, it would be their last vacation together as a family. A family decided to go on a camping trip to get away from the city life in Brooklyn, New York, to the Great Smoky Mountains in North Carolina—a campsite by Lake Blue Diamond. They were in need of a little R&R (rest and relaxation) terrorized by two red wolves, which are endangered species; but how did they come to be in the Great Smoky Mountains? A baby black bear, which lay dead near the campsite of the Westbrairs, was attacked by two wolves. A four-hundred-pound mother black bear was looking for her lost cub. She has picked up the scent of her cub near the campsite. Black bears are not usually aggressive unless provoked, and although attacks on humans are very rare, a tense situation is about to unfold.

A New York City family is feeling the daily routine of life problems and pressures to the point where it gets to be too much on a Black family of four in Brooklyn. One of their two family cars broke down; it needed a new transmission. The son’s ten-speed bicycle was stolen at school. He’s having problems with one of his teachers over some bad grades he has gotten. The daughter too had a problem that needed attention. She’s being bullied by a White girl in school. The dad of the family has gotten a letter in the mail regarding the matter of a malpractice lawsuit against him from a patient. The mother had lost a few potential clients on three commercial properties in the city, which the company CEO was not too happy about. So the family was sitting at the dinner table trying to enjoy an evening meal and, at the same time, airing out their frustrations.
The dad said, I am so upset that I can’t eat. I got a court date coming up to deal with a malpractice lawsuit hanging over my head.
Michelle, the mother, said to John, What is this thing you are talking about? A lawsuit, who is suing you, dear?
John said, A female patient named Rachel that I did surgery on her mouth is suing me.
Michelle said, What in the world happened?
I advised her to take it easy after the surgery and stay at home,
I said. Don’t go out in the damp air. Get some rest for about a week, while your mouth heals. I told her to check back with me within a week’s time to let me see how things are looking. She went out into the night air one night going to a club and got her mouth infected. Now she is suing me, claiming I botched up the surgery.
Michelle said, That doesn’t make any sense. Suing you over her careless mistake.
John said, I can’t believe her. I told her, now you just had surgery on your mouth, stay inside for about a week until your mouth has had time to heal. She stood right there in my office and said
okay. But like my lawyer told me, I have a good case against her. She was seen standing outside a night cub entrance, waiting to get in by my secretary, and my secretary said that it was chilly that night.
Michelle said, Huh. Busted. Well, I hope things turn out well for you and the case.
Now Michelle turned around to Jenlea and said, "We talked a little bit about a girl at your
