The Crooked Path on the Straight and Narrow
()
About this ebook
Having spent almost fifty years in ministry both in America and abroad, I have experienced many un-Christian acts committed by those who should be Christian examples. Here, I catalogue some of those acts and describe the crooked path on the straight and narrow.

Crooked Path on the Straight and Narrow
by Dr. Ed Moore
The Crooked Path on the Straight and Narrow
is an open and honest observation of a traveler on the straight and narrow path. It is a refreshing doorway of discussion into happenings that many think are taboo
to even speak about. Many travelers on the straight and narrow
realize how human
we are, and just how much we stand in need of the grace of God with each step of the journey!
Dr. Ed Moore has done a fantastic job of reminding us of our frailty in an honest and loving way. There is no vitriolic air or intention in reading. I’m sure many will feel as I did when I read this book. Reading this book was like taking a deep breath and saying, Someone finally put into words my own observations and opinions!
As I read this great work, a verse of Scripture instantly came to my mind, And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free
[John 8:32].

"Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it" (Matt. 7:14).
"And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein" (Isa. 35:8).
We may have a narrow straight path and still experience a crooked walk. My mother suffered several strokes. Because of these, she would, at times, stagger down a narrow hallway. My wife has experienced a concussion and has jerking spells. This makes it difficult to walk straight, no matter how straight and narrow the path. These conditions are caused by miscommunication between the head and the extremities. I am convinced that the problems in fundamental Christianity are caused by the same condition—miscommunication between our head in heaven and the members on earth.
We are told that the millennial generation is opting out of church. Many of those who were raised in church and went to Christian schools and some even Christian colleges have decided that the church is no longer relevant to them. The question then becomes, why these decisions? Is it because of a lack of faith in God or because of a lack of faith in the church today? Certainly, if they were raised in church and have that background and have been taught the scriptures, they must have some semblance of faith. I am afraid that generation has seen the inequities between the scriptural teachings and the practices
