About this ebook

I was in tears at this cross on top of this mountain in Riverside, California, and asking the Lord to give me back my mother and family. You see, I came from a broken home. We are all over the states. Then I saw flashes of light in the clouds like he heard my prayers.

Then I found myself in the hospital after being shot seven times! Twice in the back of my head and once in the heart! It was a professional hit. Someone didn't like me very much. I thought I did something bad to end up in hell!

My whole family was back together for a short time-my sister and her family, my brothers on both sides of my parents, my aunts and uncle, my stepfather, and most of all, my mother! Now, I say that's a miracle if ever I heard of one!

The Father is here. He exists in every one of us. In this book, I will show you how to hear from him, the All Mighty! You just have to let things be. "Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be, speaking words of wisdom, let it be!"

I tried a lot of different lifestyles before I was awakened by the Lord after being shot seven times. I mean, I was running wild without a care in the world! Well, I'm finally on the right path he had led me on. It was all for a reason, and that reason is to prove that there is a Lord named Jesus Christ!

I would like to thank Jesus Christ for waking me up; to my mother, who’s a strong woman; to my father, brothers, sister, aunts, uncles, cousins; and to all the people that made this book possible.

    Introduction

    To My Family of God

The Lord has worked in my life in many ways. I would like to share them with you. These stories are true.

I always knew there was a higher power but did not know it at the time. At the age of twenty-eight, a little older or a little younger, I was in Phoenix, Arizona. I was up for four days and found myself walking and walking for four miles. I came across the church, which was supposed to be closed. I remember I was in tears and just wanted my family back. I prayed to the Lord about it. Then I was tapped on the shoulder and asked how I got in. I said that the door was opened. That to me was a gift that God gave me but did not know it at the time.

I was up again for days. This time, I was in Riverside, California. I walked through this cemetery and made it out to the road, yelling at the top of my lungs different quotes of the Bible. There was this cross on top of the mountain there, and instead of using the road, which was there, I climbed up the side of the mountain. It was like three in the morning. I made it to the cross, raised my hands to heaven and was crying; and there was this flash of light I remember seeing. I took that as a sign that God heard my prayer.

On December 28, 1996, I was shot seven times—twice in the back of the head and once in the heart—and was left to die. I spent two weeks in a coma, two and a half years in a wheelchair, three years walking with a walker and cane, and only getting stronger as the days go by.

God has always been there for me through the hard times until the good. I am here until the end. Hope that is soon. I would like to have your support because I am trying to write this book, telling all the wonderful ways how God saved my life.

I am an artist too. I have a painting of his that needs to be finished. I keep on saying that when it is time, I will finish them, but I always feel bad when I do not even try. I know that I am here for a reason. I have learned that you need to just be.

    My Childhood

My childhood was a good one. From Rialto to Sonora to El Centro were where I spent most of my time getting into this and that. In El Centro, I was one out of two white boys in my school. Therefore, I had to act out. That was just an excuse, but I needed something to blame. I laugh to myself. We all know who the culprit is! Anyway, being brought up with a guy that had people under him, and he was pretty powerful man whether he sees it or not, was a pretty difficult thing.

In Sonora, we lived in this two-story house in the mountains. Before, my mother would have to stay back in Rialto to take care of the house that they were selling. To jump back a bit, before my mother got involved with Jack, there was Fred. He’s a Mexican man that had it pretty well. He worked with my father at Kaiser Steel. I have to take it easy when I say father because the only one that is my father is Christ. However, we have gone so far in time that it is just a normal part of life. What is normal anyway? He had two kids—Fred and Nancy. They were pretty cool, I remember, but we are talking with my meaning of cool here. We all get together from time to time. Mary was Fred’s previous wife.

I was at Fred’s apartment and remember his son was there, and he made some Mexican beans with tortillas, and he showed me how
