Seminars and field trips with Dennis Petersen blessed our creation science work (debates, writing, speaking, field trips, workshops) during forty years of our ministry with ICR, AiG, and on our own. Like Dennis, we have no intention of retiring from the battle for the next generation, and we look forward to using his exciting new book and approach in our own ministry to the glory of God’s Word Written and Living in Jesus Christ!

In 7 Keys to Discovering Genesis Is True, Dennis Petersen has laid out a clear road map for any student to understand the works of God in Creation and the Word of God in Scripture. This is an invaluable handbook for real education to teach one how to think critically. As college campuses and secular grade schools increasingly resemble indoctrination gulags, it is vital to ask tough, probing questions to seek clear and honest answers in the real world and confirmed in the timeless truths of the Bible.
—Dr. Peter Hammond, Director
Frontline Ministries, South Africa
Our generation needs the information and evidence in this book. Embracing this creation evidence can re-structure your entire life and affect the destinies of those you hold dear.
—Carl Baugh, Founder and Director of the
Creation Evidence Museum of Texas
Having worked with teens and millennials, in a biblical creation context, for the past 20 years, I can confidently say that Appendix Two and Three will provide needed facts to allow them to stand firm on the Truth of Genesis.
—Otis Kline, Founding Director of Glendive Dinosaur & Fossil Museum, Glendive, Montana
Dennis Petersen’s 7 Keys gives us a working key to unlock a mysterious door, helping parents guide kids to connect their minds and hearts to the practical necessity of accepting, maintaining, and contending for essential Genesis Truth. How You Should Read This Book
Each chapter in this book is titled with a question. It’s designed to lead you to discover the concluding statement at the end of the chapter. You can use those questions yourself as you engage in conversation with others. Be sure you get their permission to ask them a question before you start into a speech trying to persuade them of something you’ve discovered to be true. One way to do that is to simply ask: Did you know…?
and then fill in the topic of your discovery. If they are interested in your opening comment, they might ask you a question, but it is better if you follow your observation with another question like: Would you like to see what I discovered next?
Remember, the mind is like a parachute…it only works when it is open. Your job is to see if a person is open-minded before you attempt to persuade them about the truth of something. You can’t win an argument when your challenger has his heels dug into the ground, trying to prevent you from persuading him to embrace what you have to say. Besides, your heavenly assignment is not to win arguments anyway. However, you can inspire someone who is curious to know more about what you know and why you believe what you believe.
Tips on How to Use This Book
The Bible tells us that the Word of God is alive
and powerful.
I discovered that truth for myself as I really began to read it with the deliberate intent to understand what God was trying to convey to me personally. I’ve found something wonderfully mysterious when I approach a text in the Bible with the attitude of honestly desiring to have Almighty God communicate to me in a deeply personal way. It’s sort of like when you were a kid opening a Chinese fortune cookie, but far more exciting. We should expect to discover a prophetic sort of insight—a confirmation that speaks truth about something we are hoping to understand better.
You will notice as you begin reading this book that certain scripture quotations are inserted with emphasis. They stand out to help you focus on Biblical insights that go right to the heart of the matter being discussed in the text. I hope you take the time to actually read those verses aloud to yourself. When you do, they can reinforce the impact of the passage to the point being made in the text. Reading scripture out loud makes the message doubly relevant to you.
As you read this book, look for the gems
that you will be able to use like shiny lures when you go fishing. When you are equipped with the right lures you are better able to attract the attention of your target audience. Because curiosity is such a natural way to capture a person’s attention, use questions that invite your listener to uncover a new discovery that you have made. Be sure to come across as a fellow learner with humility rather than with a superior attitude. You never want to talk down to someone, even if he is much younger than you.
You might also get some ideas for how to word your discussions by reading out loud some of the other lines of text in this little book.
Now for a very important observation about the most miraculous book that has ever been written…
What is the central thought of the Bible? For readers of the English King James Bible, there are two interesting discoveries to possibly alert our attention.
The Heart of the Bible?
It turns out that the middle chapter of the entire Bible is Psalm 117. There are 594 chapters up to, and including, Psalm 116. There are also 594 Chapters counting from Psalm 118 to the end of the Bible.
This makes Psalm 117 the center chapter of the Bible. Psalm 117 is also the shortest Psalm. It has only two verses. Take a look at it.
O praise the Lord, all ye nations: praise Him all ye people. For His merciful kindness is great toward us, and the truth of the Lord endureth forever. Praise
