I look at the clock tower and take a deep sigh. My phone keeps ringing, but I ignore it. Michele must be waiting at the restaurant for me. I like to think that he's worried. I wonder what he worries about. That I did not come to our first regular date, which I won? Or that he loses his chance to make his plan work?

I can’t remove the suspicion in my head because of what William told me about Michele.

William is my ex-lover who left me in my difficult times. No. He wasn't supposed to be by my side at all. The asshole only used me to advance his career as an FBI agent. He was after my ex-husband, Chris Thatcher, who was in cohorts with some money launderer. The suspected money launderer is Michele Colombo and his father.
