O.D. Perkins was born May 24, 1957. He grew up in the slums and ghettos of Chicago during the decade of the sixties. He witnesses the events of the Cold War and the Vietnam War. He experienced the Civil Rights Movement. He witnessed the assassination of President Kennedy. He witnessed the events surrounding the assassination of Malcom X, the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. and the assassination of Robert Kennedy. He was there during the most tumultuous decade of violence and racism in America. With God as his inspiration, he was able to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Northern Illinois University in 1981.

Emanuel Swedenborg (1688-1772) was the prophet sent to the European Christian Church. He was sent after receiving the spiritual Word from the Lord. He was sent during the time of the Last Judgement. As stated by the prophet, the Last Judgement occurred throughout the year 1757.

This book is based on the teachings sent by God through His prophet. To study the writings of Emanuel Swedenborg is to study the afterlife. Afterlife corresponding to physical life is esoteric; everyone is invited. From the prophet, the biblicum becomes a structured, systematic study of physical life, afterlife, God and His Word.

The Africans comprehended and received these truths, because they think more internally and spiritually than other nations Swedenborg: LJBD.

PREFACE

There has been a spiritual war going on since the beginning of humanity. This physical life is the starting point for spiritual recruitment. Physical life is our time to choose. This war is about obtaining knowledge of who we are and what we are. The war is between God trying to tell us who we are versus man trying to tell us who we are; God vs. man.

THIS IS THE WAR OF GOOD & EVIL

Man has had the advantage in this physical life. Man has developed a successful war strategy against God. The main instrument or weapon used in this war has been the SWORD – THE TRUTH OF THE WORD. Man has successfully defended off God using a three-prong attack; Neglect, Nonacknowledgement and Rejection; leading to love of dominion and self-intelligence which is what crucified the Lord.

All of humanity is born into this war. Our entire physical life is the battlefield. Our entire physical life involves the recruitment process; making a choice. We start with some basic truths about physical life. Let’s start from the beginning.

People aren’t ready for the truth about life. Many live in a state of mental and emotional fragility; in a state of denial. These are those with a long term advantage and privilege of life, too weak; full of guilt, too afraid to learn the truths about their own history. The truth be told.

GOD’S WILL IS NOT DONE ON THIS EARTH!

How else can you have such atrocities and cruelties; brutality and inhumanity throughout human history? How else can you have, and make, a choice between good and evil? This truth is quite obvious, but difficult to receive and accept. In this life, you have freedom to choose; you are on your own; you are not forced by God.

You have the freedom of thought and emotion; to be, to do, whatever; within established laws of the society you are born into. You can be a believer or an atheist. For all humans learning about God, believing in God is a choice.

Unless a man had freedom in everything he thinks and wills, the freedom of thinking truth and of willing good could never be insinuated by the Lord into anyone AC-2877; it is therefore the furthest possible from the Lord to compel any one AC-2881.

Your will be done in earth, as it is in heaven Matt. 6:10.

This pertains as above so below. God works through man. For this to ‘be done in earth’ requires the reception, reformation and regeneration of the mind of man (male and female) and the establishment of the Lord’s Church! God’s will is only done through man and His Church; starting with the freedom of man.

MAN ALLOWS GOD INTO THE PHYSICAL.

God does not interfere with man’s ability to choose. However, man does; through the love of dominion and self-intelligence. Man has various mental and emotional control issues. History has recorded our interactions with each other based on our will and understanding; our mental and emotional growth.

Man has the freedom to choose in this life. This life will always progress in that direction; the direction of freedom of mind. This has been the cause of man-made conflicts, struggles and wars. Humanity instinctively evolves towards liberty, independence and emancipation.

Another one of those truths man is not ready for:

There is one monumental truth that even man’s freedom and privilege can’t deny, that is, everyone is born to die. For that matter, life is short and temporary. How many will take this into consideration; perceive a sense of urgency? Tomorrow is not promised to anyone!

There is one book that claims life continues after death. This book contains God telling us who we are. The Lord’s church is founded on this book. This is a life of freedom of choice. This book is based on that ‘book’ and its instructive preparation.

BORN TO DIE

We are all born to die. Esoterically, death and damnation is based on our spiritual rejection of God. Physical life starts our initial path. Death contains our meaning of life, our foundational path; built on our will, experience and understanding of life; whatever it may be; towards God’s will or man’s will. Death is our graduation and continuation on the path of will and understanding.

Our physical actuality is our confirmed reality which comes to an end at bodily disconnection from the mind or brain death. Our physical reality is through the brain. The mind is our unseen evidence of another reality. This writing is an introduction to the teaching and preparation for the continuation of this unseen reality or afterlife.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Man is a paradox.

It is thus an eternal truth that a man does not live from himself, but that if he did not appear to live from himself he could not live at all AC-1712.

And the Lord God said it is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him Gen.2:18.

Esoteric spiritual translation: It’s not good for man not to have the choice of his own will; he desires his own guidance. So it will be granted to him.

God built man his ‘OWN’ will; his freedom to choose.

YOUR OWN IS THE PROPRIUM ET SUUM - THE HELP MEET. THE HELP MEET BUILT BY GOD IS THE PERCEPTION THAT YOUR THOUGHTS AND EMOTIONS COME FROM YOU.

This illusion ‘the OWN of man’ was built (deep sleep) by God; a hologram matrix (physical life) program of the brain; as part of the function of the mind as a connection between the spiritual and the physical. The Divine Providence of the Lord is to monitor and safeguard the hologram matrix.

Proprium ET suum is Latin for; ‘to each, his OWN’. The purpose of this OWN is to give us the illusion that we think, will, and do from self. We all have this sense of self; this individuality, that life revolves around us. This is to be human. The Proprium is man’s belief in his Own Self-intelligence; as opposed to God, the seat of evil!

GOD’S WILL IS TAKEN AWAY

This is man’s will – the helpmate! God’s will is taken away when man desires his own. Man has an opportunity, some better than others, to make a choice. Man is born into the physical to make a choice from his proprium; to accept God’s proprium or his own proprium; to choose to seek God’s will or stay with his own will. It is a universal law that man be given freedom to make this choice.

If man could have been reformed by compulsion, there would not be any man in the universe who would not be saved; for nothing would be easier for the Lord than to compel man to fear Him, to worship Him, and indeed as it were to love Him; the means being innumerable. But as that which is done under compulsion is not conjoined, and thus is not appropriated, it is therefore the furthest possible from the Lord to compel any one AC-2881.

"Unless a man had freedom in everything he thinks and wills, the freedom of thinking truth and of willing good could never be insinuated by the Lord into any one; for in order that a man may be reformed he must think truth as of himself, and do good as of himself; and what is done as of one’s self is done in freedom. Unless this was so, there would never be any reformation or regeneration" AC-2877.

This is the paradox of man; the helpmate; man’s own will!

We live to experience our own, but must give up our own to live. The final choice is life in heaven – God’s will; or death in hell – man’s will. So we knock on heaven’s door.

Repent you, and believe the gospels Mark 1:15.

True repentance is man’s first act ‘as of one’s self’; evidence of his awareness of God; his acknowledgement of God. From the will of man, man chooses the will of God. Repentance starts from freedom and development of the rational mind; the will of man.

Salvation, eventually, becomes an individualized approach to God; an approach done initially through the mind and then through the body. The Mediator is the Word, which is, of course, God. Humanity can assist us to the door, but we must knock and enter alone; and only the Lord will open the door.

Knock and it shall be opened to you: for every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened Luke 11:9&10.

Man cannot approach God, the Divine, with the body, as a man approaches a man, but with the mind, thus with the thought and will AC-6843.

Every individual must eventually approach and follow the Lord (with the exception of married male and female, who are seen as one from the spiritual).

And they shall be one flesh Gen. 2:24.

And Jesus said to him, if you will be perfect, go and sell that you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me Matt. 19:21.

Esoterically, to ‘sell that you have’ is to give up your own; specifically, one’s man-made religious doctrines. And to ‘give to the poor’ is to suffer through humility, humbleness and meekness giving up one’s own pride in self-intelligence. To ‘have treasure in heaven’ is the Divine Truth, which can only be obtained from ‘following’, or allowing the Lord to lead you to understanding the spiritual of the Word.

True faith is to live a full physical life while focusing and preparing for the afterlife! The esoteric spiritual Word provides complete instructions for the order of life for man. THIS IS NOT A CULT OF PERSONALITY. This is between you and THE WORD.

There is an Order of Ascension; of understanding; a complete ecclesiastical and civil system; the Order of God! This is NOT an incomplete insufficient theology; NOT a subjugated, fabricated, leave you hanging, lost and confused, man-made school of thought or intellectual theological fallacy. Teaching belongs to God; He becomes your personal instructor (NJD)!

JESUS IS THE HIGHEST AND HAS THE LAST WORD. GOD’S WORD IS ALWAYS THE BOTTOM LINE.

INTRODUCTION: FAITH AND GOOD WORKS

The Second Coming: The world will ‘not end’, at least not according to the prophecy and prognosis of man’s self-intelligence. The Word has an esoteric spiritual meaning.

In the Word, ‘The Consummation of Age’ refers to the end of a church era not the end of the world; specifically, to the end of the Christian Church. The coming of the Lord, His second coming, is through His Word.

The Word of God is God from God. God is here! God has been here! The key to the order is for man to receive God. This is the freedom of man. This is part of the universal order of physical life. When will man receive God? When will you receive the Lord Jesus Christ into your life?

God has opened up His understanding to the mind of man; particularly, His spiritual understanding. The spiritual explains the purpose, meaning and order of His creation. The spiritual opens up the heavenly realms to the mind of man. We start off with the understanding of man’s purpose - salvation.

The esoteric: from the Word (the Bible), is the study of man as a microcosm of the macrocosm; as above so below. The seen is a microcosm of the unseen. In the universe, light is a microcosm of darkness; darkness being what we can’t see or understand.

The study of God and man is the study of the unseen and the seen; the spiritual and the physical. We are seeking to understand God and salvation; the end result of salvation being faith and good works.

Faith and good works, from the spiritual understanding, involve the second coming of God. The esoteric involves the understanding of the union of God and science; the unseen and the seen; it involves the marriage of life and doctrine; the marriage of heat and light; the marriage of female and male; the marriage of heaven and earth; and through the Word, the marriage of good and truth.

For in all things of the Word and in every particular of it there is a marriage of good and truth, as is manifestly evident from the spiritual sense of the Word AE-775.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth Gen.1:1.

We start with heaven and the earth. God created the unseen and the seen; the spiritual and physical; each with its own discipline. This writing, this book, is based on the spiritual and physical discipline of the Word. This involves the Science of Correspondence, the seen based on the unseen. An example of this teaching is the ‘parable’. The Lord is the ‘Master Teacher’ or The Holy Spirit.

The literal Word is the seen, the spiritual Word is the unseen. The Word is the Lord’s Human which contains within the spiritual and celestial heaven. Heaven is the unseen and earth is the seen. Your brain is connected and creates the hologram of the seen, physical world. Your physical brain creates the seen.

Your spiritual mind is the unseen. God created the unseen and the seen; the mind and the brain; the spiritual and the physical; the heaven and the earth. The spiritual sense, revelation, of the Word has been concealed until the end of days; the end of days is now.

THE UNSEEN CAN BE PERCEIVED BY THE MIND ONLY!

The New Church is here and the second coming is upon us! The Lord is here to teach the unseen through the mind! We are in transition. The opposition to the spiritual sense is those of the literal sense – the old man, the old serpent and the dragon from the Book of Revelations.

And the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born Rev.12:4.

Esoterically, the woman is New Jerusalem and her child is the spiritual church; the spiritual understanding of the Word. Those that seek to devour the spiritual meaning are those on the literal sensual level of understanding. These are the dragons, leaders of the European Christian Church and the entire world who allow the Word to fall on their sensual mind.

As the sensual supposes that wisdom is acquired by means of knowledges from the world and by natural knowledges, and not by any influx out of heaven from the Lord; FOR THE SENSUAL MAN BELIEVES THAT HE KNOWS ALL THINGS, AND THAT NOTHING IS CONCEALED FROM HIM AE-739.

This pertains to all that take the literal meaning as the final meaning; which includes most Christian Church leaders. Influx from the Lord is from above to below; from the internal into the external; from the unseen into the seen; from the spiritual into the physical. The concealed is the spiritual sense of the Word, the unseen. This involves seeking the understanding of the internal of the Word which starts with the external through faith.

GOD IS GOOD

Faith is the affection for truth; that the internal is the goal; that the unseen is the goal; that charity and the kingdom of heaven is the end goal. Faith cannot be separated from seeking ‘good’, from seeking charity, from seeking compassion, from good works. Faith believes that GOD IS GOOD!

Rev.12:14: A Dragon is he with pride in the literal Word; opened to the sensual level of the mind without the spiritual. He is not looking for God from Good; or from the spiritual and the unseen. He is not being taught by God. He is looking for God from his ‘own’, from self-intelligence, from the world, from the seen.

Thus his starting point must be the Lord, and not himself; for the former is life, but the latter is death AC-129.

Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name? and in Your name have cast out devils? And in Your name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from Me, you that work iniquity Matt.7:22-23.

The Lord does not know you until you sign up for His spiritual class. This process, of course, starts with faith, repentance and knocking on the door. You use your ‘OWN’ to make the choice! Reformation starts beyond your own beyond the seen which leads to the spiritual understanding of God.

Truth is the Word. The spiritual understanding of truth leads to good works. Faith cannot be divorced from good works. Faith without good works becomes the ‘BEAST’ in the book of revelations. This is ‘faith only’ which is no love for the neighbor which is science without God; faith without charity.

Let him that has understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six (666) Rev. 13:18.

This pertains historically to only one church – the European Christian Church. Spiritually, this verse relates to all those who are in faith without good works. ‘Faith only’ is based on the literal understanding of the Word; on the seen without the unseen; on the earth without heaven; on truth falsified which is truth without the good.

‘Faith only’ became a doctrine of European Christianity. The book of Revelation is about the European Christian Church; its legacy of evil, falsity and profanation – THE BEAST.

The abduction and slavery of black African Americans at the height of its religious (colonization) and intellectual (Enlightenment) glory is proof and evidence of their hypocrisy based on the belief and idolization of a European god.

Hypocrisy is FALSIFIED TRUTH; the denying and doing of evil from the false. Let’s simplify the recognition of good works vs evil works.

You shall know them by their fruits; do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them Matt. 7:16&20.

They who are in faith separate cannot believe otherwise than that the works of charity consist solely in giving to the poor and in assisting the miserable, and this they also confirm from the sense of the letter of the Word; when yet the works of charity consist in doing what is just and equitable, and what is good and true. They who are in faith separate see nothing else in the Word than what confirms their dogmas, for they have no interior insight AC-4783.

To make the world poor so you can feed the poor is not the route to salvation; this is a part of hypocrisy. To have interior insight is to have a deeper understanding of oneself; of one's unseen mind. This requires individual self-observation, sincerity and repentance. We use our experience of life to develop a comparative analysis. The Word is paramount in this analysis. We use the Word as light into our darkness.

We live in a world and time where there is a seemingly imbalance of evil; and confusion to what is good. Evil is in control and justifies itself; confuses the truth. Society must never lose its ability to distinguish between good and evil. The evil tries to make it complicated.

We learn what is good and what is evil through our experience of physical life. We are assisted by the understanding of the Word. This understanding is to lead us to the good of charity. This is the purpose of religion, societies and civilizations; to assist us in discernment; to make a choice. This is the primary purpose of humanity. What is good and evil?

We live in times of confusion and conflicts of discernment. With the evil in control such times have been imperceptible; however, even at such times the lesser good has prevailed. For example: in America, the civil war, the civil rights movement and the 2020 presidential election; democrats’ vs republicans; the lesser good seemingly prevailed.

And He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left Matt.25:32-33.

The good can’t be deceived and intimidated by the popularity and majority of evil! Who are the sheep and goats today? Who talks of having an association with Christian values but their actions are full of fire, smoke and brimstone? Who wants to have dominion and control? Whose mouth is full of lies, hypocrisy, conspiracy theories and racist aptitude?

SIMPLY PUT; WHO IS - AND IS NOT - DEMONSTRATING THE WILL OF GOD – LOVE, COMPASSION AND CHARITY?

That the love of good cannot act contrary to charity, nor the love of evil according to charity. That faith separated from the good of charity is damnable GM-p91.

And behold, I come quickly; and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work shall be Rev. 22:12.

The Lord is with all who are in the good of charity! This is how you demonstrate the reception and presence of the Lord. To receive the Lord
