much trouble tithing?”

Right away, the Lord responded to the author in an audible voice: “My people love to be in bondage to
the law.”

The revelation contained in this book completely destroys the current teachings of tithing, as tithing does not relate to the church from the Day of Pentecost.

The statements contained in this book concerning Melchizedek go against 95–99 percent of readily accepted Christian theology by so-called world-class theologians, religious scholars, churches, and Bible school teachings.

INTRODUCTION

After thirty years of tithing, sometimes faithfully, sometimes not, I reached an age of spiritual maturity and tithed faithfully, even giving tithes when I needed the money for rent. It dawned on me that others in the congregations were struggling also. I knew this because of the repeated calls for tithes and offerings, with comments like:

It’s not enough.

We didn’t reach our goal yet.

Don’t you want God to bless you?

You’ll be cursed if you don’t tithe.

Will a man rob God?

Don’t you want God to rebuke the devourer?

God will pour you out a blessing, and there won’t be room to receive it.

I got sick and tired of hearing these comments, but more important, I felt sorry for the people. I was tithing faithfully and feeling good about it, and I wanted my brothers and sisters in Christ to be fulfilled as well. The struggle written on their faces, however, as well as on the pastors’ faces in different churches made me very heavy spiritually. I constantly thought, What’s wrong with the people? Why aren’t they tithing? Don’t they want to be blessed?

Finally, in 2011, after a few years of this frustration, I went to the Lord Jesus in prayer and asked him, Lord, why are your people having so much trouble tithing?

Right away, the Lord responded to me in an audible voice: My people love to be in bondage to the law. (This voice was right in front of my chest, perfectly situated where the heart is!)

I said, Lord, we are not under the law but under grace.

The Lord did not say anything more to me, but thereafter, the Holy Ghost began to give me unction to search the scriptures. The unction was so compelling! I immediately received a greater understanding of both the Old and New Testaments, in addition to understanding the two priesthoods.

I had such clarity that I started to write down the ABCs of spiritual knowledge and understanding that I received by the Spirit, along with their scripture references so that even the most youthful believing Christian could understand the meaning of tithing and why, with this understanding, they should no longer feel compelled to tithe or be confused about tithing in accordance with the holy scriptures. This book, as well as all the revelation I received, was born of that prayer.

The following chapters will provide spiritual revelation concerning the indisputable biblical reason for the tithe, the revelation of why Melchizedek is not God’s priest, and why tithing was never enforceable in the New Testament church since its founding on the Day of Pentecost.

A. The Tithing Law

The tithe (10 percent of something) was the inheritance for the Levite priests because they did not receive a land inheritance (Numbers 18:23). It’s not so with the church because we don’t have a land inheritance to give or receive tithes. We cannot break scripture to make tithing fit in the church unless it is written.

There is no New Testament scripture concerning tithing. There are only scriptures on giving, which many pastors and preachers use to teach tithing. Since tithing was a command, and giving is always free will, there is confusion and a conflict of understanding among most believers, who cannot differentiate between the two. Thus, Christians make their own reasons for tithing or not tithing, but it is not
