About this ebook

The Death of the Christian Church is the revelation God revealed to me to see that I had been a big part of the Death of the Christian Church for fifty years of being a pastor of eight churches. The church that Jesus spoke to Peter about in Matthew 16:18 is not any of the churches that I have served as pastor. Deacons ran the church, never approved by Jesus or God’s Word, things of beauty in the church was more important than those who needed help. Big bands and huge choirs were more significant than heart felt praise songs sung by God’s family. Programs and play grounds was the calling cards to build bigger and bigger congregations which meant more offerings and gifts. God’s House was being turned into a place of entertainment and sermons that tickled the congregants ears. Churches served as the breeding beds for gossip, judgmentalism, cliques, social gatherings, musical presentations, rather than wholesome and spiritual praise to our Living Jesus Christ. It will take a true disciple of Christ, willing to admit the truth that will be revealed to you if you truly desire truth. Compare the house of worship that you attend to the Word of God and you too will see even though most of you will turn a deaf ear. God bless you in your search.

    Preface

Some months ago, I read an article that stated in the year 2022, 25,000 Christian Churches, in the United States would close.

I was astounded. After retiring from fifty years in the pulpit, this news almost stopped my eighty year old heart from beating.

This simply could not be true, some writer must have been listening to another person who would tell him such garbage.

Days and nights, I labored with this article and could not find peace in my soul in order to get some sleep.

I went before God repeatedly in prayer asking Him to please give me the answer to this extremely horrible prophecy and if it was true and if so, WHY?

After several sessions with Him, on a Friday night as I turned and tumbled in bed seeking rest, He spoke to my heart with this answer.

Look back over your years serving Me. Just look, think, and reason as I do and you will find the answer. Most of you who read this book will disagree with me, however, if you love the Lord with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength, you will also want the truth and your eyes will be opened to understanding.

My retirement from the pulpit was primarily because of my age of eighty and having stomach cancer and a three and a half aneurism on my aorta at my heart and being advised to relieve myself of as much stress as I could or I would die soon.

With this being offered as my reason for retirement, there was also an underlying reason that I never revealed until now and that reason we because in my spirit, I was witnessing a move in the church that made me very uncomfortable and troubled my heart.

Another reason I am writing this book is to help everyone who is having difficulties in their church attendance realize that God loves you and if your church is not following His word in all aspects of service, it’s time for you to turn to Him and He is faithful to give you the answer. Sometimes we have to just be still and know that He is God.

This series of reasons for the death of the Christian Church will be what I have seen. Little scripture will be used but my spiritual vision will be front and center.

The following pages will reveal what I saw and in doing so, I found out myself that it was all true and I had been a part of the church demise for fifty years. Forgive me Lord!

    The Congregation

Jesus said in Matthew 16:18, while talking to His Disciples and Peter, It is upon this rock I will build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

There are those who wrongly, have taken His words out of context and formed Their Church, called Peter the first Pope, and has spent centuries spreading a false gospel.

Jesus was speaking as to the divine revelation to Peter that Jesus is the Son of the Living God.

The church is not a building, it is not a multi-million dollar entertainment complex, it is the lost souls who realize they are lost and accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Men have established their own so called churches, church properties, church possessions, and church finances as their most cherished idols and lay claim as their own.

I witnessed a woman screaming to a Deacon, who was trying to share his heart to his church family, Get out of our Church, and don’t come back.

There is the first and most important aspect making the demise of the Christian Church fade into oblivion. Not God’s House, our church and, we own it, so get out.

Families who have had generations of their kin as members of a church, often times, as narcissistic individuals demand to be recognized as the most important family in the church.

Where physical property is involved, man claims it for his own and demands to control all it does.

Congregations have turned from bible believing, God fearing, conservative, and fundamental worshipers to a strange and alien group whose gospel of prosperity, name it and claim it, and progressive religious fanatics will crumble and fall.

Religion has and will be the cause so many people will feel the fires of hell and miss the glories of Heaven.

Let us wonder why the Word says that there is a highway to hell and a staircase to heaven. This should show us the population of each, heaven and hell.

As I looked back to my first Pastor-ship, through my spiritual eyes, and admitted the truth I saw this, even though it was there all the time but I didn’t see it.

Jesus desired for his children to be united in love, fellowship, and family but the following pages will reveal what He revealed to me as the night wore on.

What has cast a state of fear and apathy within the American Christian Church in America?

Joy has been replaced with sadness as congregations are intimidated with power hungry people who care less about them and the sanctity of the sanctuary.
