    PROLOGUE

    þÿ

It took me nine years from the time Amber died to be able to write this book.  Moving through all that I had experienced in meeting her, loving her, and losing her has proved to be an amazing journey. It was a voyage of honestly allowing myself to be vulnerable, and to love someone so deeply that I was totally devastated when I lost her.  This encounter taught me not only about love and grief, but about life. Eventually, our time together empowered me to step into my truth and be myself regardless of what others expected of me.

Amber was a ray of sunshine, someone who genuinely emitted love and compassion for others. I feel truly grateful for being a small part of her life and being loved by her.  She has taught me so much during the time she was alive and afterwards.
