Searching for hope: My story

Countless people have written stories about their lives. This always seems to amaze me, as that’s when I realise everyone has a story to tell. Somewhere during my early adult years, I felt an urge to also write my life story but never had the courage or determination to do so. Looking back, I am glad I didn’t because there was not much to share at that time in comparison to how much I can share now about being a wife and a mother. I am more than excited to share how my life took a drastic change from doom and gloom to a life full of joy and hope. I am writing this book to testify of the goodness of God. In the midst of everything that is going on around us, there is hope for everyone in Christ Jesus. It has taken me years to be at this place where I am right now. This place is not your ordinary physical place but more of a spiritual place filled with so much joy and peace. Like most of you reading this book, for me, this place once seemed so distant and almost unrealistic!

I choose to go against that viewpoint. I have good news for you: I am sharing my story of how God delivered me from darkness to light, from a life of captivity to a life of freedom. This place is very near to you even though it may seem impossible. It does not have to take you that long to find this place. I am going to share with you how I found the way to this place and how to live in this place that has joy overflowing, regardless of your past or present situation. We were created to live a life full of joy and peace even in uncertain times. Circumstances should never lower or decrease our level of peace or our overflowing joy. Our past should never limit our view of our future.

Right now, we are in the midst of a pandemic. People are living in fear and turmoil, not knowing where to turn. Everything seems so uncertain and confusing. These are the times we are living in, but there’s definitely light at the end of the tunnel. In the midst of it
