A year had passed since everything had changed for Holly Kensington, but somehow she felt like she was going into Christmas caught in the very same bog of nonsense from before. With all her potential – undeniably beautiful, smart, coming from good money and modest – and her remarkable new massive height, she’d somehow ended up surrounded by naysayers and complications again. The biggest problem of all, quite literally, was her former housekeeper, Deb.
A maid, for crying out loud!
While Holly should’ve had the world at her bare feet, Deb had become pretty much the most powerful and important being in the world. This was resolutely unfair, because Holly had been the most powerful and important person, for about a day, until Deb copied her wish and became even bigger. Worse than that, Deb had won people over with a friendly, helpful charm, so they didn’t all come flying planes and helicopters at her trying to shoot her down – and they didn’t do much for her but make requests, too. She was wasting the opportunity.
Holly thought back on last Christmas with mixed bitterness and pride. It had been inspired, using the power of her family heirloom, the Midwinter Jewel, to grow a hundred feet tall and squash or devour the petty idiots ruining her life. But with her step-family and useless potential boyfriend out of the way, just when things were really starting to get fun, Holly had come face to face with a giant Deb. The woman had pinned her to the ground until the tiny people of New York City (and beyond) had rallied to create shackles big enough to tie Holly down.
From there, things had only gotten worse. Christmas came and went with all manner of self-pitying whining from the little people, first as they cleared up the damage Holly did, then as they made a big song and dance about how they would punish her. Deb carried her out to the countryside, where Holly’s ankles were chained in a big empty expanse of grass a way west of Newark. She sat there sadly in her dirty and ripped Christmas dress. The military watched her from afar. The first time they chained her, Holly managed to rip a leg free and squished two men under her heel, so they didn’t take any chances after that. Spikes were driven deep into foundations while Deb kept watch over her. Within a few days, Holly grew too hungry to put up a fuss anyway; though she’d discovered people themselves made excellent snacks, no one was coming close enough to snatch, so she had to bellow at them to damn feed her.
Deb, meanwhile, lapped up attention as she moved into the logistics of surviving as a 300-foot-tall goddess. Her first points of order were to arrange massive operations of people to start making her clothes and to produce some kind of system for feeding her. The people loved her, seeing as she’d stopped Holly, and they flocked to her with truckloads of supplies. Deb accepted the gifts gratefully, chatted with various dignitaries, and generally stayed out of trouble. She remained as meek and retiring as she’d been as a housekeeper, despite being big enough to stomp the country to dust.
The days flew by, with people buzzing around Holly and Deb like bugs, and the giantesses soon adopted a new pattern of life. The world came to see serving the giantesses as a challenge, debating the best way to supply them. Expert artisans wove new clothing, generally a little formless given their size, but also revealing, considering the amount of material required. That, at least, amused Holly, as she got to show off her legs and fantastic boobs, and enjoyed seeing Deb forced into skimpier outfits than before. Meanwhile, enormous burger patties and pancakes were wheeled out on truck-beds (remotely controlled, in Holly’s case), and tourists started to flock from every corner of the earth to take photos.
The miracle of their growth brought about a temporary global calm, as warring nations and religions stopped to consider what it was all for, when such things as 300-foot-tall goddesses were possible.
