About this ebook

Who is Kay Gates?
Why do people call her Mom Kay?
What is her special gift?
What happened that encouraged her to embrace children and adults with the Arms of Jesus?
Where does she get her strength for long-distance travel, for hours of counseling and ministry, for the embrace and prayers with which she blesses people in churches, homes, backyards, airports, and everywhere that people encounter her in their search for love and healing?
Who guided her throughout her years of ministry?
All of these questions are answered in the pages of "God Is Alive!".
You cannot read this book and come away untouched. You cannot but become curious to meet this person who claims to convey the healing love of our God through an action as simple as an embrace.
Over the decades, the Arms of Jesus have changed lives for the better. Thousands will testify to this fact. Cardinals, priests, deacons, and holy people everywhere, especially those whose lives have been changed by the Jesus Hug will tell you that the deaf hear, that the lame walk, that the mute speak, that crippling hurt has been resolved and healed, that relationships broken by sin have been healed and rebuilt, that fears have been dispelled, that thousands have returned to the Lord, that churches are filled with joyful songs of praise.
God is Alive!
Read it in the testimonies.
Trust it in the healing.
See it as you read this remarkable story of service.

God Is Alive! - Kay Gates

    Prologue

I am going to try my best to share with you some of my thoughts over the past 32 years of the ministry that God has called me to through his Son, Jesus, in the power of the Holy Spirit. First of all, as most of us already know this world is in a very dark place, and we need to be the remnant that will be the Church of the future. We are the Body of Christ which makes us responsible for what we are to try to proclaim while here on earth in our human body. It’s not easy, but it is necessary for us to be the instruments of the voice of Jesus to let people know that there is still time to turn around and act as Jesus created us to be – as a loving, sensitive part of the human race. This is not an easy thing to do. It takes a lot of prayer and perseverance to try to be that voice in the wilderness, as John the Baptizer was in the beginning, who let people know that there was someone coming after him and that he was unworthy to untie his sandal. We have to realize that we are the only voice that Jesus has in this day and time to proclaim His Word. This is my chance to share with you some of the experiences that I have had over the past 32 years of ministry both here in the United States and in the Philippines.

    Chapter 1:

    In the Beginning

As most of you know, my ministry, the Arms of Jesus Ministry, is based in Cebu, Philippines, and is blessed by Archbishop Jose Palma, under the Diocese of Cebu. I hope to share with you my experiences starting at the beginning and through 35 years of total ministry and 30 years in the Philippines. You will learn about my beginning in the Charismatic Renewal, people praying over me for my own healing, and then my journey from the beginning until now. You will learn about good and evil, healings and miracles, and everything in between that has been my experience. Thank you for reading this. I hope it is at least a learning experience for you to help you grow in your own faith, and hopefully, it has piqued your interest a little bit. God bless you and keep you in His arms of love always.
