Daughter of the moon - Amna Albedwawi
First Chapter
T
wo in the morning, a strange message was sent to my phone entitled Forgetting is a blessing
.
I didn't read the message but rather left it on an old shelf, but time passed and never stopped, no matter how close or far we are from that message. I folded my heart with sadness and silenced its beat.
I was there waiting for my coffee while I was writing the last few letters of my novel.
I heard him saying: Hello, daughter of the Moon, have you finally come to light?!
My heart, which I thought had died a while ago, laughed when I turned to him.
I raised my head, looked into his eyes, and said: Do you know me?
He smiled and said: Are you still working with my advice?!
I stood up and pointed to the waiter that I will bring my cup of coffee myself since she is done making it.

He smiled and then sighed, saying: Forgetting me won't make you any better, believe me, I've tried.
I sat down, drank my coffee, and finished writing the chapters of my novel.
He remained standing near me for a while and then left.
After about half an hour, I left and went to my home.
I sat on that sofa, on which he used to sit, talk to me and laugh.
I said to her: Today I saw your companion and he didn't say anything new to me as usual. He talked about forgetting, which he can’t do, and talked about his cowardice and his escape as if he had always been an educated counselor who knew everything.
I covered my body with that scarf and said to myself: What a man that can do nothing but talk properly.
I laughed so hard out of the fury that filled my heart, but my laughter stopped when I heard the phone ring.
I pulled my head out from under the scarf to see who is calling me, and it was My Husband.
I answered the call and said: "What do
