About this ebook
But one trip is unlike any other – Buddy unexpectedly sniffs out a tiny wee kitten in the sand dunes who is obviously very lost. Tending to the poor creature back at home, Luke starts to feel attached, despite needing to return the kitten to its rightful owners.
Upon leaving the kitten in a household with two very unruly children, he is uneasy about whether or not he’s done the right thing, until he hears the family are trying to find him a new home.
Will Luke be able to keep the kitten? Or will someone else get to him first…?

I am very grateful to all the staff at Austin Macauley Publishers who worked on the production of my book and who played a huge role in making this publication possible. It has been a pleasure to work with all of you.
I want to recognise those who helped incite confidence in my writing, planted seeds of inspiration or provided additional value to my manuscript in any way, and often spent their time journeying right alongside me down the new road – delving enthusiastically into the wonderful, creative world of making books for the enjoyment of others.
I would also like to thank each of my friends and family members who encouraged me to follow my dream of becoming an author: I could not have made it this far without all your support and positive feedback.
Chapter One
A look of disgust flickered over my face as I observed a motorbike speed past in a blur, hurtling in the opposite direction (obviously going way too fast). I shook my head at him slightly, wondering how long it might be before the reckless driving caused an accident of some kind, meanwhile continuing to dawdle along leisurely in my pickup. I was on my own mission. Well, a pleasure cruise would probably be a more accurate description really; I was heading straight for the beach to spend a few hours frolicking in the waves and on the sand. It was a pretty short drive to get there (from my place at least), barely fifteen minutes all up. I glanced over to where my dog sat on the front passenger seat, his head hanging out the window, and grinned slightly.
Not much further now, boy,
I said to him. We’ll be there in a second. Just have to wait for that group of kids to finish crossing the road.
The troupe (consisting of about six or seven youthful teens) seemed to be in no hurry to get out of the way of the oncoming vehicle, evidently ignoring the fact they were dilly-dallying right in the middle of the road. They were affably shoving each other dramatically and sniggering, while continuing to bounce a ball back and forth. I lightly tapped my fingers on the steering wheel as I waited for all of them to eventually move off the road and return to
