Iwant to thank my husband and children. Many times, I said, I’m going to work on my book, and they had to fend for themselves. They have always had a good attitude and have been supportive, even when I said here, read this, and tell me if you like it.

Love and thanks to my parents, brothers, and friends who I have bounced ideas off and asked to read certain sections and get feedback.

And always, I would never be able to accomplish anything worth doing if it were not for God.

    I Couldn’t Hardly Wait!

Iwoke up to the sound of rain outside my window, again. It seemed like it was going to rain forever this Spring. It had been three days since I had been able to play outside.

At least my best friend, Burner, got to come over to play inside at my house. Other than going to the playground at a fast-food restaurant the other day, I had been sitting in class at school or sitting inside at home.

Of course, there was gym on Tuesday, but that didn’t really count either because I sat most of the time and watched other kids try to climb the rope.

Eventually, the coach said Stone, it’s your turn.

I have gone to church my whole life. My parents took me for the first time as a baby once my mom was comfortable taking me out of the house. I heard about God and Jesus, and I have often thought that it is right to be a Christian.

Then one day in Sunday school, it hit me. I had always thought it was good to be a Christian, but I had never realized it was something I needed to do myself. My teacher asked who wanted to pray and ask Jesus to be their Lord and Savior, and I just knew it was time
