Race of Gods

On another world in a distant galaxy, approximately 14 billion years ago, the stars aligned in a perfect circle that formed a celestial halo across an alien night sky. Its three moons were almost in position, one half risen over the eastern horizon, one half risen over the western horizon, and the third moon overhead, drifting toward the perfect epicenter within the halo of stars.

It was evening. The sky filled with beautiful deep blue, purple, and pink hues. Surrounding this sacred site was a massive stadium amphitheater, stretching out both wide and tall. Beyond it, surrounding that, was a mega alien city metropolis, with towering skyscrapers, busy intersections of rapidly flying vehicles on multiple levels from the ground to above the clouds. Lush parks and vibrant greenery sat on elevated platforms and rooftops throughout these densely-packed buildings. Exotic plants and strange-looking, multi-colored flowers accentuated these city parks. And lights -- so many lights -- of every color imaginable, blinking and flashing, illuminating the endless alien city.

This was their capital city Avalon, on the planet Elo, the home world of the elohim. They were an alien race, once mortal and ordinary physical creatures like any other. They looked identical to humans in size and appearance, but they were anything but. They evolved on another world entirely, in another universe entirely… and over the course of billions of years, they became so much more than their mortal origins.

The elohim learned to become gods.

Not merely in technology or power. But they found a way -- through their fundamental understanding of magic and the underlying forces of the universe -- how to cheat death and become immortal, eternal, powerful beings of their own.
