Samuel Hall

Born in Minnesota and migrated to the Kansas City area, I have been walking with the Lord for 30+ years. I am married to the most amazing woman in the world and have 2 awesome children and a beautiful daughter-in-law. I have been writing a prayer journal for almost all of those 30 years, so these first three books represent just a small sample of my history with the Lord.

Can I Get a Ticket - Samuel Hall

What You Need, You Already Got

Why ask someone to give you a job?

As if all your problems would be solved.

You are interviewing more than three times a week-

The job you need is just down the street.

Believe in yourself to do your best-

Develop your own job and pass the test.

You have the ability to be very bright-

You got to be strong, so give it a fight.

You went to school and got in debt-

Now make your own job; write your own check.

Most of what you need, you already got-

Put that liquor down; pour out that shot.

Survival doesn’t depend on me or you-

It is all about the things you do.

Life experiences will show you the truth-

Make a job for me and another one for you.

I don’t want hard labor anymore-

But I need a lot of money, that’s for sure.

Build some bridges and some buildings too-

There are millions of people that want to work for you.

Technology would be wise; kids need a new game

Engineers working for you would not be the same.

The power you got to develop your own-

Make enough money to build your home.

What you need, you already got-

Think about that before drinking your next shot.

I’ll see you later or at the top-

Just remember, what you need, you already got.

    Bully

He was a young man I didn’t understand-

They called him a bully all across this land.

He was built like a man, but he was only a boy-

He took everything he wanted—from money to toys.

He made a broad statement with only his look-

He never learned to read a simple book.

He loved to fight or hurt someone-

With just his posture and never a gun.

He appeared to be angry and always sad-

He was never the friend I wish I had.

The skills he possessed at doing his best-

    Always got him into
