About this ebook

The contents written inside this book are a road map from my infancy in writing and transforming into maturity. I titled my book so as to give the reader the opportunity to seek their own definition.

Better Felt by the Pen is a title that came to me from an interior place, which says let the pen speak for you and you can stay silent.

Everything about this book will have more than one meaning from the cover art to the format to the title, which will give you the gumption to think outside of your own established comfort zones and social conformity.

Enjoy.

I'll Explain Later
Author

Damba Negasi

Damba Negasi explains throughout his own views on love, life and light. There is also a profound duplicity to his work. He is just a regular man who was born with regular thoughts and somehow as life goes on he begins to see life is more multi-faceted.

    A Father’s Regret

They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Well maybe I should have told her, lessons I learned now that I’m older. But as a consequence I receive her cold shoulder. Maybe if I would have stayed a little longer I could spent more time trying to mold her and hold her. But as time went past she got colder and hotter. Uses me like fodder. I’m talking about the pain from a father from his daughter…….

And I leave you with this

And I leave you with this: Beauty is not a reflection of what other people see it is and always will lie in knowing you are a child of the Most High God and that beauty cannot be surpassed by makeup, weave or anything that can be bought at a store.

    My take

Blended in with the Muslims and politiced with the Christians even though I’m neither one having faith is my addiction not tradition or religion but giving back to our Creator what he’s given is a given like giving respect to all women but maybe that’s a gimmick since they label themselves as bitches and our ancestors fought so we wouldn’t be called niggers but how we describe another brother as that is my nigga come on wake up pay attention

    Mirrored Mistake

How can you let another man steal your prize? You love her brain-what’s in between her eyes-While he’s only seeking what’s between her thighs-but you decided to leave so you pay that price-While most men are trying to get one more slice-of her amazing pie-I sit stuck and standing here gazing to the sky-But now it’s a reality-I guess I better get my life-But her high is on the front and back of me-attacking my mentality-like a crack heads pipe-Now I sit and think and just give advice-because it ended so tragically-the relationship’s demise-But still I rise-and I became much more wise-That’s why the next to stand beside and in back of me-got to be my wife-

    Untitled

Unchanged or defined by the place and time-If I no longer grind- it because I changed my mind-I don’t need to shine, my kids do-So you not liking what you see in me
