The Soulless Dead
Chapter One
There are certain days in the life of a man when the most beautiful thing that can happen to him seems like an impossibility. A man would be lucky to meet someone so perfect, so amazing, and yet he will find himself alone, living on the brink of despair. That’s what it feels like, being a soulless dead human.
That is until his partner, Katsuki, comes around.
His partner who has come along with him into this world filled with darkness and death. His partner who has brought him out of his darkest times. His partner who has saved him countless times.
He’s not sure exactly how they met. It was probably one of those moments in your life where you realize, hey, maybe I’m not so bad after all. Maybe we could make it. And then you were going to die. And then you weren’t. You were just... here. With Katsuki, and everything was okay for awhile. Until the next tragedy struck, or something else came along to bring them down.
Chapter Two
It took some time before they realized that no matter how many times they faced each other in battle, no matter how many times they had their hands clamped together, nothing changed. They were still soulless; their bodies were still empty. There was no hope for either of them.
So they found ways to cope. To keep their spirits up, even if they didn't know it was possible anymore. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not. But there was always someone who understood, no matter how much it hurt. Who knew. Who would help them when they were at their lowest.
Katsuki may have been soulless, but he wasn't as cold as he let people believe. If anything, Katsuki became more open to touch. When he first arrived at the base, everyone avoided him because of it. He looked horrible; the red, bloodshot eyes, sunken cheeks, and hollowed out form. The only person who dared to approach him was Izuku.
Izuku couldn't stop thinking about how his eyes had glowed bright
