Yet we are not taught these basic traits, nor to name the reality. Thus, this work lists and makes clear the traits of empire. Then, it wrestles with questions posed upon the realization we are veering that way, including, "Are there good traits of  empires?" and "How do we resist the ways of empire?" We invite you to read this work to gain a sense of history so that our world and our children can live in a richer, more free world.

    The author, an independent scholar, has degrees in Philosophy and Counseling Psychology. For many years, he taught a college course on Indigenous symbolism with an emphasis on imagery found on stone and in the landscape. Having experienced gifts from the Indigenous related to sites that Native Americans inhabited, and having studied their narratives, he offers this work.
