Biographic Book of Tens Series

Summing a lifetime of work, ten discoveries are explored, ranging from our biological, historical and archetypal being. In each area, the author introduces a novel way of  looking at things, some of which are unique to his work, and some which he hopes to take further and make plain to others. Often, this multi and interdisciplinary approach reveals the importance of relationship and hidden connections which are life giving. Interestingly, time and the process of change often play an important part in these discoveries. We invite you to entertain the novelty introduced in each of these ten domains, which will help us tap into our visions and fulfill our dreams.        

This work explores the author's encounters with the times he almost died. A further reflection on these events, in which we are on the razor's edge between life and death, has something to teach us. The author invites you to explore the meaning of your own life's relationship to death, as suggested in the title, "The Times We Almost Died." It promises to bring unexpected discoveries of  the times we companioned with death, and how they might become life-giving.    

This book offers ten sayings the author has found himself using to guide himself during the course of his life. They range from becoming young and renewing, to helping you overcome obstacles during difficult times. Take this journey of interesting reflections and add them to your own sayings, discovering the ones that will help you lead  a fuller life. 

This work presents ten of the author's best photographs which show mystery. Either part or all of the photograph cannot be readily deciphered or explained. Starting with the solar eclipse that just occurred, the author's work ranges from a miniature plant world to a communal kitchen in the highlands of Guatemala. Each photograph includes a reflection of how it came to be, and more immediate personal reflections. Then the reflection is extended into the cosmological, to see what the photograph tells us about the wider universe and our inner souls. Come, take this journey with the author, exploring beauty in the world and the nature of mystery itself.

This work invites us to enter the world of mementos, as to their significance and  hidden meaning. By way of example, the author describes ten mementos from his own desk. His "first reflections" describe the object and the immediate story behind them. In his "second reflections," the author ventures into the philosophic and metaphysical domains to consider each memento's meaning. The ordinary world of mementos may not give us much pause  during the course of the day. Yet they are in front of us and telling us something important about ourselves and our lives You are invited to take a journey into this world of mimentos, so you may begin to explore the meaning of yours, and discover what is being said to you.     

This work offers ten larger insights about the universe and our inner world, drawing upon the author's interdisciplinary work. After exploring a variety of fields and offering insights about them, what can we say in total? How does the picture add up? This work serves as invitation for each of us to identify our own  metadiscoveries, to discover and explore our own philosophy. With such work, we will become more aware, actualize our lives and experience it more fully.
