About this ebook

In this novel Senator Ryan Wicklow uses a week on Martha’s Vineyard to learn from friends and advisors about the challenges of a campaign for the presidency. Discussions about the Deep State, Media, Big Tech, Unions, Universities and a new Socialist Media Party (SMP) help Ryan make a decision.
In a dramatic scene, the senator informs the editors of the New York Times, the liberal publication of the Democratic Party, about his decision to run and requests unbiased reporting.
As predicted, the Senator Wicklow and his running mate, Senator Nancy DeYoung from Iowa, win in a landslide as the voters hope to end the Recession or micro-Depression in major cities caused by the Socialist government. In the process, the senator highlights China’s attempt to control the nation prior to a takeover.
The new administration is very successful after only six months. One initiative in particular, the Civilian Closure Corps (CCC), is a new organization chartered to close Federal Government departments because they are unnecessary, staffed by disguised unemployment or perform a state’s function.
In the end New York Times issues an apology for its liberal bias for almost two centuries. The editors realize that Wicklow’s conservative Great Reset is really working and is best for America. With tears of joy in his eyes, the new president realizes that he has accomplished the toughest sales on Earth.

    HOW ABOUT ME

    44447.png

ON A WARM AND windy Sunday afternoon in late May on the eastern tip of Martha’s Vineyard, the junior senator of Massachusetts, Ryan Wicklow, was in a very reflective mood. The man, who has a striking similarity to a prior senator named Kennedy, was just beginning a 10-day family vacation as he stood on the deck and looked out to blue Atlantic Ocean. After a couple of minutes, he was joined by his father, Warren, a successful, retired Bostonian banker.

Son, you seem so deep in thought. What’s on your mind? We’re on vacation. We came here to escape the real world.

Well, dad, American Socialism is a dismal future. It’s causing this macro Recession and even Depression in some cities, and anyone who criticizes the Administration is called a racist."

But, son, our assets are ample and very safe. We’ll weather this storm and find many good investment opportunities when the economy starts to turn around.

Dad, you’re right thanks to your wisdom and smart money moves over a half-century! And, we’re truly fortunate, but…

    But what?

But America needs a new Thomas Jefferson, and I think I’m that guy.

Wait a minute, son! Do I understand you correctly that you’re considering running for the presidency?

Dad, even the Democrats in the soup kitchen lines are turning against our lost president and her truly incompetent vice president and their whole administration. Throughout history democracies last about 250-years before too many promises go unfulfilled, and they decay into uncontrollable Socialist states. That’s precisely where we’re at today. We’re on the verge of the proud Bald Eagle nesting somewhere else!

Ryan, I can see that you’ve given this idea some real thought. Son, I’ll make a deal with you.

    What’s that?

We use this vacation to expose you to the many challenges you would have to overcome to 1) be elected and 2) keep the Ship of State from sinking.

OK, Dad. What do you have in mind?

    The Big-14!

    What the hell is that?

Because of the firmly entrenched Socialist State, there are fourteen powerful entities you would have to overcome, at least neutralize, in order to win the presidency.

Dad, I’m all ears. Please explain.

"Son, I’m talking about eight days of total concentration on the actions necessary to be successful. And, of course, I’ll accept your ultimate decision. But
