The Beginning of the End! - Eda Davis

    Chapter 1

    THE ACCIDENT

I have always been hearing people saying a few statements, but the reality was the only limit I used in affirming them. Statements like there is no mistake in God, everything happens for a purpose, and all things work for one good, until it happens to you. You start to hear people say, nothing can happen unless God allows it, which brings me to desperately trying to understand, Why me? I have meditated on God's word for years, and I finally understood what God was trying to get me to understand in Roman 5:3-6, "Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. You see at just the right time when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.

Early one November Monday morning, I got up from my bed for devotion unto God. This was a daily habit that has become part of my life. Next, I get my kids up to prepare to go to school. It was my routine to ensure they have their homework in their backpacks before leaving the house. I often find myself thanking God for blessing me with two wonderful kids.

The air was crisp and cold, but it felt wonderful. There was a huge oak tree next to my house, and this morning, so many birds sang the sweet whispers of joyous songs. An awestruck feeling of how majestic our God truly is saturated, my soul.

Due to time restraints, I stopped by McDonald's to get my kids some breakfast. I also got myself a cup of coffee to take my daily vitamins and minerals. We arrived at the school, my kids kissed me, and went to the teachers who were outside helping the students to go to class.

Now, I'm in my car alone, which is a blessing because I get to worship God and sometimes just listen to the sound of the road in a quiet setting. For me, it was peaceful. I found myself thinking of the awesomeness of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Before I knew it, It was the Lord and me as I sang. This went on for a while until I turned on a worship song.

The highway was busy, but I felt the peaceful peace of the presence of God. It's true even in your car what James 4:8 say, when you draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. He will even draw nigh to you while you are driving your car.

    The worship became
