Introduction
Have you or anyone you know ever suffered from an acute obsession with something, particularly a piece of media such as a book, movie, television, video game, or any other medium of art?
If the answer to that is yes, we’d like to take a moment to apologize for the suffering you may have faced and mourn for the loss of the person you once were...before.

Now that that’s out of the way, we can get to the interesting part!
You see, there are millions of people just like you, who found something they love and became perhaps unhealthily obsessed with it, to the extent that their friends and family wonder if they’ve lost their sanity.
That part may not apply to you, of course, but it is common, so it might be a good idea to keep that in mind before you delve too deeply into the world of fandom. In this short book, we’ll be taking a look into a popular hobby for geeks and enthusiasts everywhere.
