About this ebook

Elliott has always suspected his sister's girlfriend, Moon, is hiding something. Not only does she stomp everyone during Game Night, she fixed the family mower and Elliott's busted Nintendo Switch quicker than any professional ever could. However, when he accidentally walks in on her during a moment of privacy, he finds out that her secret is more than just a sizable asset—she's out of this world!

Moon is scared of losing the person she loves if her secret is revealed. But there's another problem: she's going through an intensely passionate cycle intrinsic to her species. She needs help satisfying her urges, or the cat is sure to come out of the bag. Using a highly advanced ring capable of morphing one's physical appearance, it will be up to Elliott to sacrifice his manhood for continued intergalactic peace!

The three of us traded side-eyes like we were in the Mexican standoff at the end of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. My sister, Sierra, squinted like she had something in her eye; her girlfriend, Moon, eyeballed both of us with a sharply perched eyebrow. And yours truly, Elliott, readied my hand on the draw. But it was Moon who had the better of us.

Uno! she declared, adding another yellow to the pile and jubilantly brandishing her one remaining card.

Sierra pounded the table in frustration, causing her nearly empty glass of lemonade to slosh. "Again? How?! What genie did you sleep with to be so lucky?"

My sister and I played our cards. There was always a chance we could keep the game going, but I knew better. Sierra dealt a wild card and picked red. But, of course, as was the trend of the entire evening, Moon could not be bested. She laid down her final card—a red, what d’ya know—and gave us a courteous golf clap for a good, contested game.

That’s your fifth win in a row, Sierra announced.

    Sixth, I corrected her.

"Okay, sixth. I’ve never known anyone to be so lucky!"

It’s not luck, Moon said. It’s all skill.

    Uh-huh.

I rounded up the cards as my sister and her girlfriend shared an intimate moment. Moon whispered she was sorry about dominating Game Night. Sierra pouted. Then they started kissing right in front of me. Sierra had come out at sixteen; two years later, she and her girlfriend were incredibly open about their relationship, and they had my support. But this was hinting at something more than just casual affection. I loudly cleared my throat as if to say get a room you two while they still had their clothes on.

Sierra was blushing. Moon happily smiled.

Someone needs to dissect this one, Sierra said. Did I ever tell you about how she solved my Rubik’s Cube?

I shook my head. But I did remember my sister’s Rubik’s Cube. Dad had gotten her one for Christmas, maybe four or five years ago. Simple, inexpensive stocking stuffer. Since that holiday season, it had remained on her desk—with her occasional tinkering from time to time. She had treated it more as a stress-relieving distraction than a puzzle.

Then Moon comes along, she narrated, and picks it up, solves it in like two minutes, and then leaves it there. She didn’t even tell me. I had to ask her about it. She just said, ‘Oh yeah, the colors weren’t matching. I fixed it.’

They weren’t! Moon laughed. And I did!

    You’re such a nerd.

    "Your nerd."

When the girls were staring at each other’s lips again, I jumped from my seat, loudly screeching my chair back. "Anyway, I said, grabbing the trio of glasses. I’m gonna clean this up. Unless you think we can break our bad luck streak with another game, sis."

Not a chance with this one, Sierra said. She’ll win ten in a row.

    Thought so.

I carried the leftover refreshments to the sink and poured
