masterpiece UNDONE
… Undone… happened by accident in my mind, but nothing is an accident (really)- All the stars line up accordingly. But for the sake of the project, reader and the mind-this came out of nowhere. Amid battling anxiety, depression, and CV-fatigue I began to write these feelings and thoughts outward (they roamed internally). The idea/concept of collaging it came about around 3:26 am in early March of 2021. There were about 10-11 pieces/pieces on my hard drive that had no place to go. A few years ago, I decided would stop writing poetry, haikus, and stand-alone thoughts. The world seems to not dig into my poetry as I assumed they would. Inspiration fell flat. Honestly. But a little engine or inspiration came out of nowhere – JUST WRITE.
And I did. The everything of nothing was not one of the most fun or entertaining projects. A great portion of the undone pieces came from a place of depression and uncertainly- I usually never write when I am sad or depressed but being depressed and finding the happiness & joy in it is an art. Find the trivial things (the little nothings-souvenir them). A great portion of the thoughts, words and poems/pieces are short. At times less is more. More than 80 percent of the work was created at a fleeting moments & times -sometimes seemingly at my best, and other times at my worst. Poetry became little nothings, but for that critical time in my life, they became something again. - the everything of nothing. From a philosophic view I wrestle with life, thoughts and why (at times) everything seems like nothing and other times nothing is everything. Life is masterpiece, but truthful UNDONE –
INKJOY the undone.
