Cihan Serdaroğlu

Dr. Cihan Serdaroğlu was born in Samsun, Turkey. He holds a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in journalism from Ankara University. After he got his M.S., he started his military service in April 2013, and finished it as a sergeant in September 2013. He completed his Ph.D. with the dissertation entitled, "Representation of Antisocials on Different Categories of Tv Series: The Analysis of Netflix Series", in 2022. He has been working as an independent journalist. He continues to write novel, memoir, poem and paper.

DEDICATION TO POETRY LOVERS

Much has been said and written about poetry and probably, much more will be said and written. Many poems have been written and probably, many more will be written. Young people will write poetry with passsion and all those intense emotions, before their lives get so messy. People will read them and feel those emotions. People will feel enthusiasm and maybe, find romance with poetry. Maybe, people will keep their sanity with poetry. Art can make life more beautiful or tolerably after all.

TO MY DEAREST READER

Now, it is hard to remember for me how old I was, when I wrote my first poem, but as much as I can remember, I was nine. I was at my grandparents’ home, and they were watching television as usual for every night. The night must have been young, because my grandma was awake, and she used to go to bed early. That night, I suddenly started to write a poem.
