About this ebook
When EMT Joshua Lawton left both his family and church behind, he never thought he’d live with anyone, much less get married. But here he is, facing carb-deprivation (because wedding photos are forever) and a cake tasting, all in the same month. He worries about his lack of family and relationship skills because family means everything to his fiancé. If Joshua can’t do better with Michael's traditions than he did with his own, will Michael come to his senses and call off the wedding?
Michael Fiorillo is the both the youngest and the only male out of ten siblings. He’s juggling all the expectations involved in a traditional Fiorillo family wedding and a fiancé who’d be just as happy if they ran off to Vegas.
When plans for their wedding cake are derailed by an unexpected religious objection, will the resulting fallout drive them apart or bring them even closer together?

Everything I Need - Chrissy Munder
Chapter 1
Oh, you dirty rat bastard!
Joshua Lawton scowled at the red taillights taunting him through the windshield of the ambulance. Wasn’t it bad enough the motorist just cut in front of him? But then to immediately slam on their brakes? What are we? Invisible?
He hit the switch—two blurps of ear-splitting siren to let the jerk know that Hello! Big ass ambulance here. Traffic blows today.
Your phone buzzed.
Alex Daniels, his shift partner for the last nine months, yawned at him from the passenger seat. He’d been asleep ever since their shift started, citing a demon-possessed toddler who fought their bedtime last night as the reason, but honestly, Alex spent most of their down time on shift sleeping. Maybe three kids under the age of seven did that to you, what did Joshua know?
Don’t you hate rush hour?
Joshua barreled on through his rant without waiting for a reply. His tattooed knuckles clenched tight around the steering wheel. I hate rush hour, freeways, and the idiots who drive them. If I catch one more asshole texting, I’m going to ram them. Let them call someone else to scrape them off the pavement when they screw up.
Your phone buzzed,
Alex offered again.
Kind of busy here.
Joshua steered them into the right lane, fitting the bulky vehicle into the tiny gap of traffic with skilled grace.
You know I can’t stand the repeat notification ding,
Alex complained.
Then you answer the damn thing.
Joshua palmed the switches to the light bar, adding a blinding flash of strobe to the piercing whoop of his siren. Officially, siren use was only approved when on a patient run, but sometimes a guy had to make a statement. He jerked them back over to the left to avoid the driver’s side door hanging open an entire two feet away from the easement off the freeway. Look at that. Can’t even get over all the way. I swear, it was easier driving in a war zone.
Alex sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. Fine.
He grabbed the cell from the well between them and punched in Joshua’s password. I’ll check your phone if you spare me one of your back-when-I-was-in-the-military-stories.
Don’t ‘fine’ me. You sound like one of Michael’s sisters.
Yeah, yeah.
Alex swiped through the screens. What a surprise. A text from Michael.
The snaking line of vehicles stopped without warning. Joshua ignored Alex’s dry sarcasm and sawed at the wheel. The ambulance swerved, sending the clipboard on the dash sliding over to Alex’s side of the cab. Joshua watched the rearview mirror, scoffing when the truck behind them dove nose-first toward the shoulder. Serves you right for riding up my ass.
He drummed his fingers on the steering wheel, waiting for Alex to say more.
It reads, ‘Don’t be late. Four o’clock or Mom will have your balls.’
Alex’s snicker turned thoughtful. Hmmm.
What?
Alex might look unimpressed, but Joshua had faith in the abilities of his soon-to-be mother-in-law—especially when it came to his testicles.
Where’d he get a skull and crossbones emoji?
The radio crackled before coughing out a burst of static. The dispatcher’s detached voice spared Joshua having to answer. Alex dropped the cell phone and responded to the call. Calm professionalism replaced their playful banter. Joshua flicked on the lights and siren once again,
