About this ebook

Learning the piano on your own and from your own home
with well-known classical music and beautiful melodies,
These are the goals of this new piano method.

"LET'S LEARN PIANO An Adult Beginner Method"
A practical, clear and detailed 124-page black and white method in a flexible format, presenting skills that progress cumulatively. The book takes you by the hand and accompanies you step by step during your first six months of learning.

Since this method has many graphic illustrations, and scores with lots of detail to view, I recommend studying with a large e-reader or tablet.

I also recommend that you print out the sheet music contained in the free download folder provided and use it at the same time as you study the book.

The method provides the beginning pianist with, not only the theoretical background

and the practice needed to learn to play, but also with the ability to read music notation fluently.

This first major unit includes 11 lessons and 13 pieces for four to six months of learning, depending on your pace.

Each unit explains step by step and in a cumulative way,

everything the student needs to practice each

piece. Afterwards, before continuing to the next unit, there is a quiz to give the student

feedback about what has been learned.

The result of more than 20 years of pedagogical experience, this guide, along with regular daily practice, will give you all you need to start reading and playing your first classical works.

Surprises await you inside,

as well as these free downloads:

Guide for note reading

13 printable black&white scores

13 .wav & .mp3 audio files

I wish you success in your piano practice.

You will be on a beautiful exploration of the piano

    PIANO LESSON 1

    KEYBOARD PRESENTATION

    TWO 8’S RULE

A piano almost always has 88 keys.

White keys and black keys grouped by 2 and 3.

    TWO 7’S RULE

You have on a piano 7 notes (C-D-E-F-G-A-B) that are repeated 7 times on the keyboard.

The distance between two C is called an octave. (take a good look at the image, at the very bottom left of the keyboard, on sequence 1).

    LOW NOTES/ HIGH NOTES

    - Notes get lower and lower as you go left.

    - Notes get higher and higher as you go to the right.

we will see Low notes/ High notes in a little more detail with the practical exercise 1

    MIDDLE C

Middle C is in the middle. It is more important than the other C’s

because it divides the keyboard into two main parts: Left/Right.

    - Left part: bass clef / left hand.

    - Right part: Treble clef / right hand.

HOW TO EASILY FIND THE C’s ?

Black keys are grouped by 2 and 3.

If you look black keys, you can easily find each C.

C is the white key that is located just to left of 2 black keys.

You can recognize the middle C in this picture, which is lighter than the others.

    PLAY ALL C’S ON KEYBOARD

    (practical exercise 1)

Sit in front of your piano without looking at the pictures from the book.

Plays all C’s on the keyboard, from the lowest C to the highest C.

How many C's do you see on your keyboard?

(I'm talking about C's you can find with two black keys).

if you look closely at the whole keyboard, there is a C that you can't find using two black keys group, because they're not there. Do you see what C is that's different from the others?

Come on, I'll help you a little !
