Your new recording is called La Danse. Does it help to have an album with a theme?
I’ve always enjoyed thematic programming, as a performer and a listener. I think as an audience member a theme can make the musical journey more approachable and give it a sense of structure. I also hugely enjoy discovering all the variety of connections between composers, music, arts and cultures that inherently comes when exploring a theme.
What made you decide on dances?
