    I had been on my own since I was sixteen years old. I had been expelled from the nurturing environment of a historically Black college. I was starving, and I was determined to succeed. I began stalking the program director at the biggest urban radio station in Atlanta, V-103 WVEE. I was eventually given a chance to do the morning news slots on their flagship program.
