About this ebook

Hold’em Ranges and Math is the crucial book to have to make better decisions against today’s best players. In the early days of poker, players relied on catching cards and playing ABC poker. As time passed, players became more aggressive, bluffing was artistically being created, and decisions were made based on incomplete factors. The more recent “old school” of poker, players were even more aggressive, bluffing was more common, and everyone was putting their opponents on a few hands to assure they are making the right decision for instant success. But poker today is filled with very loose and aggressive players who do not rely on catching cards but rely on math and poker ranges. Today’s player will put their opponent on a range of hands and the math behind that to help them make the correct decision based on how they play those certain hands in different situations, and the action that took place during the hand, for long-term success. In Hold’em Ranges and Math, you will learn what hand ranges to play, with mathematical strategies, to help you make those same successful decisions.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR - I have been a successful low-to-mid stakes player for over 15 years, with positive results at local live cash games, tournaments, and the WSOP. I will continue to enter WSOP events with the hopes of winning the Main Event one day (hopefully). In doing so, it’ll give me more opportunities to play more tournaments, with the dream of being a full-time professional. In the meantime, enjoy some of the secrets that have made me successful with the strategies I’ve provided in this book.

    INTRODUCTION

Poker today is so aggressive and filled with so many talented players, today’s average player will need as many extra means of help as ever before to even compete with the players at the highest levels. As said in the back cover: In the early days of poker, players relied on catching cards and playing ABC poker. As time passed, players became more aggressive, bluffing was artistically being created, and decisions were made based on incomplete factors. The more recent old school of poker, players were even more aggressive, bluffing was more common, and everyone was putting their opponents on a few hands to assure they are making the right decision for instant success.

Today I want to help the average player, and even some of the more advanced players, learn the most critical, and important form of strategy to help you become a better player; a player who can compete against the top players today and walk away with more money than they can manage. The hand ranges in this book (over 55 of them), as well as the mathematical strategies, will help you become a great poker player, with providing you with the right decisions to make in different situations. I will also supply a respectable number of situations to help you understand when to use these decisions when that condition arises. These examples will go beyond the flop, and help you make better decisions on the turn and river.

With the completion of this book, you will learn what to play (inside and outside the range boxes) and what hands your opponent’s play under optimal situations. You will also learn how to play against them more properly, and make better decisions, because you will know the range of hands your opponents are holding, as well as the odds of your hand being best.

My earlier books (Professional Hold’em Strategies and Advanced Hold’em Volume I & II) have become great sellers, and some of the information in those books will be displayed in here (completely updated), but this book is in a class of its own, with a lot more ranges as well as a lot more math, including a new chapter on A-K, and how often a player will have a larger pocket pair than yours. I genuinely believe this is the book to have if you want to be a successful No Limit Hold’em player. Read and learn each hand ranges and the math behind them, and once you have a greater understanding on how successful they can really be, then take your bankroll and play with the best players in the world – and beat them.
