This book points out the importance of being good and respectful towards other people irrespective of their race or social status. Using a palace as a setting, the author depicts the discrimination, segregation and racism that happen in the society. The king and the prince exemplify humility and show love and respect to people. On the contrary, the queen is a proud person and discriminatory towards others. The queen changes her perspective about the poor when something unexpected and unimaginable happens in the palace. This book has lessons on the importance of humility and the dangers of pride.
