Preface
As an introduction, the book presents insights into the life of the Buddha from his birth to the time he entered the parinirvana state of existence. In this book, an attempt is made to outline Buddhism properly for people of all ages.
The Buddha’s teachings, the four noble truths, and the eightfold path are discussed in some detail. Also, a good deal of space is devoted to Buddhist methods of meditation, Buddha’s encounter with people, Buddha’s foremost disciples, Buddhist festivals, and the notion of birth (and rebirth).
The last chapter includes some of the famous stories based on the firsthand experiences of Buddha’s disciples and others from Buddha’s time and hereafter. These stories emphasize the moral point of view of the subject that is explored and examples for the benefit of the people at large.

I, the author of the book, express my sense of gratitude to my son, Amar, and dearest daughter-in-law, Phassorn, who encouraged me to write this book. They thought the book might be a great aid for those learning about Buddhism at the primary level in Thailand and around the world. Also, my humble gratitude goes to
