Wolf In A School - Kennedy J Edwards
Introduction: Fresher Air
When Keena walked in the room, Kennedy was already awake. Oh, good morning.
Keena said in amazement. Hey!
Kennedy barked. Why are you up so… So
Keena couldn’t finish the thought. So early?
Excited.
Why?
Keena blinked in curiosity. She had never seen her daughter up this early. It’s almost Friday.
She got up as soon as she said that.
When she arrived at the school, she thought that something bad would happen. Like...what? As she sat, she saw the two usual transformed wolves, Adam and Asher. Kennedy!
They yelled together. Hey!
Kennedy replied. Want to hear a joke?
Adam asked excitedly. Sure.
Kennedy said. Knock, knock!
Who’s there?
Whelping den.
Whelping den who?
Whelp, the den is whelping.
Kennedy never heard a joke like that. But she decided to play along and softly chuckled. Everyone be quiet!
Ms Swann, the extended day teacher, roared. When Kennedy heard that, she pulled out a book, which she called a lodgelyn, and read. But, in the blink of an eye, something shouted out. Third grade!
Fourth grade was gone. The calls were so brief, that she didn’t have time to put her lodgelyn up.
As she walked into the room, she didn’t see a familiar face.

The Arrival of Minjar
She waited and knew the human, Maya, was going to be there late. But surprisingly, she wasn’t! The continuous help faded. The constant, unrelaxing stress, gone. The invading privacy and copying died. Kennedy was quite happy. Psst, Kennedy. It’s time for your watch.
the Wendigo whispered. He somehow just appeared out of nowhere. Kennedy went downwind so the students nor the teacher could see her.
Half a day later, they arrived at the Emerald. Right, it’s time for your lessons. Your new laighs, Link and Sault, will teach you.'' the Wendigo explained. The two laighs, Link and Sault, walked out.
Alright younglings, first of all, you two need some rest.
Of course, of course! Alex and Kennedy said together. They ran towards their den. Kennedy peered into the den.
A caribou pelt. Alex said. Kennedy and Alex ran inside the den. Kennedy sniffed the caribou pelt.
Why are you sniffing the pelt? Alex asked.
Well, sometimes when I need to sleep, the wolves are kind to me and give me a caribou pelt. A caribou pelt with pup urine. Pups wet the pelt. Kennedy explained, with an annoyed frown across her face.
Same with me, Alex conceded.
But this one has no pup urine, Kennedy said in astonishment. Then she spun around three times to get comfy, then thudded herself on the pelt.
Comfy, right? Kennedy said happily.
Yeah, comfy."
No pup pee.
Yep, no pup pee.
The two slept for at least four or five hours. Kennedy had a dreamful sleep, while Alex had a dreamless sleep. My service starts. I am a wolf of the Emerald. My service starts. The words echoed in her head. Kennedy! Alex!
Sault yelled. Yes?
Alex asked sleepily. First, we need you to meet a special wolf. The helper of the Wendigo. Then, we do the training,
Link said. The two wolves nodded sleepily and stood up. Minjar! Come out, we have newcomers!
Link barked. Minjar?
Kennedy repeated. A pack leader was named Minjar. Her dad died in a war. Gwynfer was his name. Minjar came out. Yes?
Minjar said. We have newcomers. Greet them. Greet them nicely.
Minjar stared at Alex. Welcome to the Emerald,
She
