Kendyl Peters is bright, beautiful, ambitious, and driven. The world is her oyster. At twenty-two, she's written Hollywood screenplays, ridden English horses across precarious auction stages, and worked alongside Lady Gaga. But she will be the first to tell you she wasn't always this confident. It took a special horse that arrived at just the right time to show her the way.
Kendyl's voice is a gentle one it's as if she was born to communicate with animals. In fact, she'll tell you that on many occasions, she prefers relationships with animals more than people.
"There are animals, and then there are animals with light in their eyes that seem almost human," said her mother, longtime Arabian breeder Mindy Peters. "Kendyl brings that light out in her horses."
From a young age, she was drawn to all animals, but horses became her love. "My animals were my everything," she said. "I had friends, but I enjoyed time with my horses more."
Even though she comes from four generations of a family that breeds and shows Arabian horses, Kendyl preferred to ride hunter/jumpers, dressage on Warmbloods, and reining on Quarter Horses. It wasn't until early 2012 when a
