Charlie

When I agreed to come on this little—no questions asked—adventure, I didn’t realize I’d end up sitting in the middle of a smoke-filled casino wearing a ridiculous suit coat, one of only a few I own. This one is from college, and it’s a little tight in the chest. Not fat guy in a little coat tight, but snug enough that it looks like my muscles are threatening to bust out the inseams, hulk style.

I guess, technically, they are.

I take a sip of my Jack and Coke. Why are we here again?

The guy sitting next to me, also in a suit he bought when we were frat brothers in college, looks up from the poker machine he’s been feeding dollars into for the last half hour. Because you, pal, need a distraction. You need to find your muse.

I scoff and take another sip of my drink. Like I'm going to find my muse here.

You might, if you look around a bit. There are top-shelf, grade-A, fine ass muses all around us.

A waitress in a skirt that barely covers the curve of her ass chooses that moment to walk by. I think you meant to stop at fine ass.

"Fine, ass, you need to get laid.
