About this ebook

Sasha

I'm running late to my client's first book signing event.
I promised Sienna I wouldn't miss it for the world.
She's my best client and has become an even dearer friend.
It's the only reason I ignore her warning not to speed my way through Stryker County.
And the only reason the world's hottest police officer pulls me over.

Brayden

I have a reputation for only pulling someone over if I intend to give them a ticket.
When the minivan speeds down the highway like a racecar, I have no choice.
But I'm not prepared for the curvy beauty behind the wheel.
I can't remember why I pulled her over.
The only offense she's guilty of is stealing my heart.

Sweet & steamy short story insta-ove romance with an older alpha police hero and younger curvy woman with an HEA. NO cliffhangers. NO cheating.

    SASHA

I never should’ve left home without my lucky rabbit foot. Every time I do, everything turns to shit.

I’m racing down the highway Sienna specifically told me not to speed on, but what choice do I have? My first flight was delayed, I missed the connecting flight, and the rental car company gave away the last car to the person in front of me, despite my reservation. This minivan with zero turn radius feels like a punishment. At least the gas pedal works.

I swear, I’ll never leave home without you again. Just send me some good vibes, Jarvis. Yes, I named my rabbit foot. Don’t judge.

I’m over an hour late to my best client’s book launch party, and I feel terrible. What kind of literary agent am I if I can’t even be on time for the event I organized? I’ve sent Sienna no less than twenty texts promising I’m on my way. I hate that I left her alone for her very first book signing. She’s courageous in so many ways, but these events can make even the toughest authors feel meek and overwhelmed

The GPS alerts me to take the exit ramp in two miles. I’m less than four minutes away.

I let out a sigh of relief.

But without Jarvis carefully tucked away in my purse, I should’ve known better than to get too complacent.

The whine of sirens draws my eyes to my speedometer, the number 82 catching my eye before it plummets down as I pull my foot off the gas like the pedal’s on fire. Well, shit on a brick this isn’t good.

If I didn’t already have some points on my license, I’d beg for a quickie ticket and crawl the speed limit to the bookstore. But because I’ve no flipping idea what the actual speed limit is, or how much I busted right over it, I have to get off with a warning.

Getting arrested is not on my schedule today.

In the rearview mirror, I catch a glimpse of a tall, muscular man in uniform stepping out of the patrol car. Good, a man. I can work with that. I undo an extra button and reach inside my blouse to adjust my breasts inside the bra. A little cleavage can’t hurt the situation. Probably not.

I’ve barely pulled my hand free when I hear the tap on the glass.

As I roll down the window, a woodsy, manly scent, drifts into the car, causing my nipples to tighten. Damn he smells divine. It’s been too long since I’ve gotten laid. The drought’s gone not just to my head, but straight to my aching core. Down girl!

Hello, officer, I coo, leaning forward to get a better look and assess my odds of avoiding a ticket. It’s a long way up to that immaculate face, but the straight line of his hardened lips is impossible to miss. It doesn’t give me a lot of hope. If I could only see those eyes hiding behind his sunglasses.

Do you know why I pulled you over, ma’am?
