Confessions of a Serial Dater - T W Beresford
Introduction: Confessions of a Serial Dater
Let me introduce myself; my name is Terry. I am 43 years old and have four children with three different women. I’m 5’6". I would class myself as an average-looking guy. I am normal and down to earth. All this said, I’ve had an exciting dating life.
I’ve been in and out of love many times. I’ve been dating now; it seems like forever. I have been on pretty much all the dating apps to find the one
.
As I am here sitting at my dinner table, talking to one of my friends about the latest screwed-up dating situation, my friend said you know what: you should write a book,
so I thought, yeah, what have I got to lose, let’s do it!
So Ashley P, if this all goes tits up, I am blaming you 100%!
I’m not a natural-born writer; my English is awful, and I write like an eight-year-old and haven’t read a book cover to cover for over twenty years – I don’t think Microsoft technical books count as reading. I hope my writing style makes this guide an easy read for everyone from all walks of life, and everyone finds it useful.
I want single people to know they are not alone, and we are all in this dating situation together.
Maybe you have been using dating apps for a while and are not having much luck.
My book may give you the answers you are looking for or give you a new dating perspective. If you end up reading this and feel like you have lost a few hours of your life and it’s been a total waste of time, I will say thank you for reading it and for putting a few extra pounds in my pocket Illustration .
If you are not single and reading this, it might make you realise the grass is not always greener on the other side, and your relationship is worth saving and fighting for.
I want this book to act as a guide, to help get through some of the pitfalls and see some of the red flags you might come across, and hopefully not make the same mistakes I have! Oh, and have a laugh at my expense!
A bit of food for thought on your dating journey, the decisions you make, and the people you talk to and interact with could affect the rest of your life or theirs. It is easy to be someone else online. If you are genuinely looking for that special someone, be true to yourself, do not compromise too much to the point where you act like someone else. Be honest, upfront, careful, and very importantly stay safe.
I have put a few quotes into the book of what past partners have said to me. They always felt like a cop-out, see how many you recognise.
The Men and Women of Dating.
For all the men out there, women hold all the power, trust me, they
