About this ebook

The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) is a non-profit autonomous, private sector institution and membership-based organization established in 1965. KNCCI- Nairobi County (Nairobi Chamber) is a Chapter of KNCCI and is the business platform in Nairobi, whose mission is to represent, support and protect the interests of the business community in Nairobi. It does so by supporting the development of small businesses, lobbying for a favourable environment for businesses in the County and working to promote Nairobi as a preferred national/international business and investment hub.

One of the key outcomes for the business advocacy fund was to see whether the Business Member Organizations (BMOs) and Civil Service Organizations have developed effective working relationships with public sector policymakers. Monitoring of private-public partnerships of BMOs with Ministries, Departments and Agencies was undertaken. The report sought to determine their success and challenges over a year and provide recommendations to enhance joint advocacy projects where they undertake research, prepare policy proposals or pursue changes in public policy.
