To reflect rather than feel

Sunlight on vacation

I am art

I am an artist phenomenally

I have the hands of an artist

The mind of an artist

The heart of an artist

The voice of an artist

The feet of artist

The soul of artist

Many say that artistic people are strange

That we’re weird because we think deeper

Because we stare a little bit longer

because we talk a little bit less

We scream a little more silent

We breathe different

I hum a tune every time i breathe out of my nose

I sing in the shower and everywhere else i am awake

I draw everything i look at

I tap my feet whenever i hear a song play

I write down every emotion i have and turn it into a poem

Because i am an artist

I like being weird

I love that people look at me like i’m crazy

Because i am

But let’s not forget

Life is a masterpiece

It took an artist to create it

Phenomenally

I’ve met me before

And more of me before the world went

To war

The introvert

The one they adore

The awkward one

The one who loves from her core

To be free••

With a lonely heart

Where you’d assume there’d be a place

Of freedom

And imagine yourself in a world with no light

Knowing nothing but physical sensation

And I stay awake past midnight to assure myself that I’ve existed until tomorrow
