INTRODUCTION
It only takes one person to change your life –You. - Ruth Casey
EACH OF US HAS SUPERHEROES in our lives that we admire. To me, Superheroes aren’t fictional characters but real-life people with the capacity and determination to change things that need to be changed or to help people who need help. Albert Einstein, Nicholas Tesla, Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi, Florence Nightingale, and Martin Luther King Jr. were all superheroes.
Each of us knows of real-life superheroes who aren’t nearly as famous. Super Hero in my life is my Mom, who is an embodiment of great faith, perseverance, and a sacrificial heart. Who is the superhero in your life?
What do all the greatest athletes, successful business owners, influential leaders have in common?
When J.K Rowling was trying to pitch Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, she was on government assistance with young kids and was so broke that she couldn’t afford to make copies of her book to send to publishers. Instead, she manually re-typed every single copy of the 70,000+ words novel. She was rejected dozens of times, but she never gave up and was finally accepted. Of course, we all know what happened next. Rowling went on to become the first self-made billionaire author.
When Jim Carey was 14 years old, his father lost his job, and his family became quite poor. Carey moved to LA when he was 16 to take a chance on his acting dreams. He wrote himself a fake 10-million-dollar check to inspire him never to give up. It took him 16 years to star in his first hit movie, Dumb and Dumber. He put the fake 10-million-dollar check that he kept in his wallet inside his father’s casket. His father was the one who encouraged him to go after his dream.
Oprah Winfrey was a victim of sexual abuse growing up. Despite an incredibly challenging upbringing, she went on to become a high school honors student and earned a full scholarship to college. But she didn’t stop there; she climbed up the world of TV networks. Today, she is one of the wealthiest female billionaires in the world with so much influence.
Michael Jordan, arguably the greatest basketball player of all time, was once cut from his high school basketball team. Jordan never quit. He worked even harder. MJ went on to become an NCAA star, 6x NBA champion, win multiple league MVPs, and get inducted in the Basketball Hall of Fame.
John F. Kennedy, despite having a plethora of illnesses and a chronic bad back, snuck his way into the U.S. Navy to fight in World War II. This took place during his younger years, long before anyone knew him as the President of the United States.
They all knew they had something to offer the world that they were willing to bet their entire lives on. All of these ordinary people made a choice to become Superheroes. They chose to develop their abilities through focus, discipline, and perseverance.
The truth is, success is a binary decision.
You’re either going to become successful or you’re going to run out of time trying.
Your purpose is that deep fire, the unrelenting desire within, that keeps you going in spite of obstacles. Your deep calling is the only thing that will always tell you YES when you’re facing millions of NO’s. This is your purpose, your destiny, your calling. What is your life Calling?
Serena Williams had coaches to help her win 7 Wimbledon titles.
Oprah had Maya Angelou guiding her to success, even when she didn’t believe in herself.
Nelson Mandela cited Gandhi as his inspiration and mentor, even though they never met in person.
While I'm no Gandhi, I can certainly guide you to achieve AMAZING success in your life.
At the end of the day, when you and I meet with death, I want to shake his hand and say, I have lived my life well, and I am thoroughly satisfied. My family and the world are a better place because of my contribution. I will gladly return to him what was never mine in the first place.
Remember, my life and yours are LEASED by our Creator, and we are endowed with free will; it is our Dharma or duty to make the best of what we can with what time we have.
You and I deserve a chance in life. But we have to take the first step.
As one of my gurus, The Divine Mother, states – Dear Children, take one step towards me, I will take a million steps towards you.
You have a choice, either step forward to your purpose or fall back into an old, familiar environment and experiences. The choice is yours.
Do not let life circumstances steal your dreams. Your purpose. The biggest mistake one can ever make is being satisfied or complacent when you know deep inside, you are meant for so much more.
Remember, the greatest growth happens during the dark night-of-the-soul journey; your character is formed, your new mental paradigms are programmed, and your destiny is shaped. Have faith in the light at the end of the tunnel where all your dreams and hopes are ready to meet you. Let me be your guide through your journey.
This incredible and life-changing journey is worth taking. The strategies discussed here is well proven and has helped millions of dream-chasers and knowledge-seekers just like you find your Superhero with-in.
I salute you. I congratulate you. I welcome you on this incredible life-changing journey.
You are the Super Hero You Have Been Waiting For.
This is your life; make it a Great One.
To Your Super Hero Self,
Neo Konti
PROGRAM YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS MIND
I think a hero is an ordinary individual who finds strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles – Superman
Super Heroes are everyday real-life people with the capacity and determination to change things that need to be changed or to help people who need help. One can only achieve this by making conscious decisions at any given moment. These conscious decisions are a by-product of the programming of our minds with thoughts and emotions. In this foundational chapter, we will explore the concept of Conscious and Subconscious mind.
No one has ever seen the mind. The mind is an activity, not a thing. The body is an instrument of the mind.
Scientists agree that there are two parts to the mind – the conscious and subconscious.
Conscious and Subconscious Mind
Whatever we plant in our subconscious mind and nourish with repetition and emotion will one day become a reality.
– Earl Nightingale
Conscious mind
YOUR CONSCIOUS MIND, right behind your forehead, somewhere in the pre-frontal cortex, represents you as a unique individual.
This contains all the thoughts, memories, feelings, and wishes of which we are aware at any given moment. This is the aspect of our mental processing that we can think and talk about rationally. This also includes our memory, which is not always part of consciousness but can be retrieved easily and brought into awareness.
Characteristics of the conscious mind:
• Thinking Mind
• Educational Mind
• Intellectual
• Ability to Choose
• Accept or Reject
• Create Idea or Origination
Subconscious mind
THE FUNCTION OF YOUR subconscious mind is to store and retrieve data. Its job is to ensure that you respond exactly the way you are programmed to. Your subconscious mind makes everything you say and do fit a pattern consistent with your self-concept, your master program.
Your subconscious mind is like a huge memory bank that is not in your conscious mind. Its capacity is virtually unlimited, and it permanently stores everything, including your beliefs, your previous experience, your memories, and your skills; everything that you have seen, done, or thought is stored here since your origin (long before your current physical birth). This runs on autopilot
continually.
The subconscious mind is subjective. It does not think or reason independently; it merely obeys the commands it receives from your conscious mind. Just as your conscious mind can be thought of as a gardener, planting seeds, your subconscious mind can be thought of as the garden, or fertile soil, in which the seeds germinate and grow.
Your conscious mind commands, and your subconscious mind obeys. Your subconscious mind practices homeostasis in your mental realm by keeping you thinking and acting in a manner consistent with what you have done and said in the past. All your habits of thinking and acting are stored in your subconscious mind.
When you fall asleep, it is your conscious mind that is sleeping. However, your subconscious mind will never fall asleep. It works 24 hours a day, even when you sleep. Your subconscious mind is controlling your body, your breathing, your organs’ functionality, your cell’s growth, and everything else. As a human species, we already have the knowledge and power to accomplish almost anything we want; however, we have not developed a clear understanding of how the subconscious mind works and how to access its power.
This is a reservoir of feelings, thoughts, urges, and memories that are outside of our conscious awareness. Most of the contents of the unconscious are unacceptable or unpleasant, such as feelings of pain, anxiety, or conflict. Scientists believe that the subconscious mind has a physical connection to subcortical regions of the brain.
Characteristics of Subconscious mind:
• Emotional Mind
• Cannot determine the difference between what is real and what is imagined
• Communicates in the form of symbols, metaphors and visual images
